[CCN] The Christmas Carriers Convoy

I made my way over to Miami in my new Stratotanker last night and had a quite uneventful flight until I entered Miami. Got interdicted right away and under heavy fire. Not nice with a T9 under my butt. I heard from other tankers that they encountered the same trap and even got blown up. Is Miami safe?

I had to combat log because the downtime hit me and I hope that my ship will still be around when I log back in.

Is the roster on page 1 of this post up to date? I want to check if I got on it or not.

Thanks!

The system is low security. I personally had zero problem with my Luga bellyful of meta-alloys. I'd suggest staying one jump away, and entering the system when dispatched, so the Escort can protect you.

Hi CMDR Leth,

great idea. I will log in tonight, see what is left of my T9 and then jump one system out. I will check for repair capabilities one jump away because I got some damage and need to refuel anyway.

I am happy to see this community and support. Thank you!

1. I jump to "miami" system,
2. Request wing invitation on CCN discord voice channel (I do not use mic, so I will make request by typing),
3. I get winged with beacon ship (Bsh for short)
For your safety, you don't jump to Miami until after you've been winged up by the Beacon.

I needed to switch to Viper Mark 4 from my cobra since it will serve me better as an escort ship to you all big and precious carriers

Just landed in Miami, all ready for tomorrow.
cargo loaded, ship fueled and ready to fly.

Got interdicted on the way in 3 times by a single pilot, no damage done.

Bring on the voyage.

Loading up Meta-Alloys as well. My advice to those having issues is to pre-select an alternate High Wake route when you enter the system. If you see an NPC pop up and make their usual comments about the big score, yada yada... high wake out and come back. These are the NPCs that will continually dog your heels until you do. Most times you'll see the message before they actually spawn so you have a little bit of warning. The other NPCs you can safely low wake from and they'll disappear. This includes pre-emptively dropping out of SC and then re-entering it before they can interdict you.

Great tip. I will try this if my ship is still in one piece.

CMDR Flirble Rasok won't be able to make the Miami departure. He was however able to save a CCC Beluga yesterday, so at least he'll have that.

Filled up my conda with Structural Regulators (seems fitting for a structural engineer  )

I wonder if the type of commodities have effect on the expansion of Colonia

A post of shame, given that the roster has closed...

Qohen -- Please change my ship selection from a T-9 to my Cargo 'Conda -- "BAGGER 288".

CMDR grnbrg.

I just posted on Discord that I am able to attend US event now (got out of work and wife gave permission to play..haha). Originally a freelancer because I thought I would not be able to to go event. If you want, I can be changed to Escort.

#340, Tri Velo, US, (Freelancer -> Escort), Anaconda, Prophecy

Thanks!

Hi Qohen

Please change my ship selection from a Beluga to my Anaconda. Everything else including the ships name remains the same. Sry for the inconvenience, I just ritually burned the Beluga.
