[CCN] The Christmas Carriers Convoy

Just upgraded my Type-9 FSD to level 5 modded range ready for this, now I just need to save up for a decent fuel scoop!

I'm thinking I'll try and lug some passengers with me. Anyone know how long the more patient passengers will hang around before engaging escape pods?

Not sure on that yet. Personally I didn't fiddle with them in the beta. I just watched a few of Obsidian Ants' videos on it and he commented that he had no idea how to make them happy again. The bigger question is, will we be able to find passenger missions going out to Jaques, and will the time limit be within reason.

If the time limit and their happiness becomes a major issue, it won't bode well without some changes. I'm curious though because I might take some passengers instead of cargo. Really depends on how flushed out the system is and if it's viable for a journey that long.

We asked FD for a CG running alongside the CCC, fingers crossed :)

Well.
The DSMV Arktika will be parte oficial this expedition

Working my wawy back from the edge of the galaxy hopefully get back early next month at the latest still need to engineer the out of my ship at that point though^^

Dress Rehearsal

Sunday afternoon (IGT), the CCC organizers will record video footage for an upcoming CCC trailer. It would be nice to have as many freighters and CMF pilots as possible. It doesn't matter if you're a Freelancer. We only want ships, and especially a few Belugas. We will gather in Epsilon Indi. No outfitting needed, we won't go anywhere. It will mostly be formation flight.

If you want to be there and appear on the trailer, and if you haven't done so already, I strongly invite you to join the Discord server as we will use voice comms - talking is not mandatory, but you need to be able to hear the directives. If you talk, all the better - bear in mind you will be recorded and bits of the session will be used on the video.

Hoping to see a bunch of you on Sunday. I'll be there early, with a Beluga and under the name Gustave Flaubert. We'll most probably be in FleetComm - don't forget to request access if you're not in there yet (application form on the OP).

What time Sunday and is it this Sunday?

Trade opportunities are now localised around jaques ( support outposts now produce a localised import - export run), mining missions are still there as well as the CG, the BGS side of things is being upgraded, the various CCN hauling projects might now be not really needed, and as other groups who have been infiltrated by CCN and start to become more active and active competitors. The jaques / colonia bubble is now becoming a much more complex place and about time to.

Don't think I can make it at that time.

Have u considered the AEDC or Friends Of Jaques Hauling events instead, theres still time to sign up for both, plus theres now 10 outposts around jaques all supplying various goods, so theres now trade opportunities right there in the nebula and that will help build new stations and upgrade the BGS, and i hear several otehr groups now have their own minor factions going in at jaques ( non CCN entities) so there is now competition and even more fun gameplay

Signed up as Carrier in my all new beluga with Level 5 engineered FSD :D

Goes over 31 Ly fully loaded.

Cheers

Signed up. :) Also would love to take part in the dress rehearsal if there's still space. :)

Of course there's room! Don't forget to friend me up, though.

Don't think I can make it at that time.

If it spans over two or three hours, I'll let you know.

For those who are coming along and are worried that they won't be able to keep up, the mapping team has been working on optimizing the neutron highway grid. This should allow those daring enough, to take a quicker route to the waypoint meetups.

Phase 1 is complete (Polo Harbour to Colonia).

Polo Harbour to Colonia

Direct Distance : 4,786.59 Light Years.

Ship Used : Unmodded Asp Explorer.

Ship Base Range : 33.33 Light Years.

Normal number of jumps taken by a ship of this range would be around 150 Jumps.
Neutron Highway Jumps : 42 Neutron Jumps, plus 12 regular jumps. Total of 54 Jumps.

Once its integrity had dropped to 90%, the ships's FSD was repaired (4 times in total).

Full route details here :

Would it be possible to sign up for Escort Duty and still carry a small number (32T) of supplies? I'd like to turn my Keelback into a support craft, outfitting it with a fighter hanger, mines/torpedoes, and a 5E cargo rack.

Hi guys,

I'd like to sign up as escort. You look like you're a little short on smaller ships, so I'll be in my Vulture.

Would you Please change my Status from Carrier to Freelancer.
I can not garantee to be at the meeting-points at the specific date and time. Also change Ship to Cutter:

Having taken some time chasing designers, shipyard workers and engineers back in the old world, I shall be returning to Colonia in a new Militia vessel, the Fer De Lance CMS Badb Catha. Looking forward to travelling with you all :)
