[CCN] The Christmas Carriers Convoy

Ship update: Clipper, USS Ambrosia, at the moment it has 18.64ly jump, should be fitted for exploration for the trip. I'll be scanning all the way. Please make corrections, thanks.

Hi Blunderer

The Militia is an earned role on the CCN server. They are the peacekeeping force of Colonia. In game, this translates as escorting miners and explorers, providing security at CCN events, raising the Security rating of Colonia's systems by bounty hunting, among others.

There is a calendar of group activities for the Militia including group trainings and fun events. As for intrinsic benefits - you'll meet some great people and have a lot of fun, in a beautiful part of space, doing something worthwhile.

There's no pay or anything like that

Hope that helps?
Yes, you helped me :)
I'm still thinking about joining the convoy or not, because i need lots of crédits and some better ships
I may register some days before the convoy departure... :D
Thank you.

I'd like to sign up but I have a question before i waste your time with roster updates etc. This is My current ship. I have MODs but the only one I bothered to add to the build link was my current FSD mod. If I filled the blanks with 128 cargo would this ship be out of RP for the carrier group?

I assume explorers are under the freelancers list but it would be fun to go out with some like minded explorers who want to take their "non exploration" ships out there and do some looking around on the way. If there are any takers, let me know. We can call it the NEEU (Non Explorer's Explorer Union).

Hey all; a friend of mine has signed up for this, and I'm debating doing so too. I was part of the first Jaques CG to carry materials there, so I was hoping to do Passenger missions this time instead... has anyone actually seen Passengers to that location though?

If so, my thinking was to mission flip the day before the leaving event and fill a Beluga, come join you for that, rush ahead to Jaques Station to get them there before 3 weeks run out, then come back along the waypointed route and meet you all as you continue... In particular it would be nice to roleplay the stories of the named NPCs aboard and make them part of Colonia history. Does this sound like an acceptable plan?

@Administration

I believe I signed up as a Beluga but after some more consideration I have decided to take out my T-9 for this event. Currently pulling about 19Ly, but looking for a better grade 5 roll on my FSD range.

Also wanted to say hey to everyone. I am also a member of the Federal Privateers. We welcome all Xbox players to fly with us. I know we have few PC members but I'm not sure if they have signed up for this. We do have escorts standing by.

Feel free to message me or Dr Yayomeister.

So, I've got one question: I have an anaconda that I have equips as multi role, which includes a decent armament, but I want to be a carrier. I'm currently singed up as freelance because my anaconda has weapons. So do I need to stay as a freelancer or can I be a carrier?

Why would it be? Read the requirements again ;)

You do what you feel like, Cmdr ;) You can rush it, if it's your question.

Will fix. Thanks to the FP for helping on the XBox side :)

Luchador Logistics pledges it's support to the cause, I was thinking of moving my family out to the Frontiers anyway.

Glad to have you :)

The Carriers are not supposed to be able to take out enemies. If you have too many weapons, stay Freelancer.

The Expansion

By the way, Zac just posted the Colonia Expansion Initiative, scheduled to start on December 1st, right before the CCC. Told you it was time to move out there :D

If you and/or your faction plans on moving to Colonia, I hope this will convince you to join our large and peaceful convoy. Lots of good times ahead.

I've decided that it's much to risky to take the USS Ambrosia out because of the relative lack of large landing pads, so I'm going with the Jungle Grasshopper, a DBE. Every convoy needs it's share of scientists...am I right??

Which lack of large pads?
All the waystations are ground based installations, and Jaques' is a modified Ocellus starport. No small stations all along the way.

I haven't seen the other waypoints, so I don't know how hard it would be to find a sufficiently large piece of flat ground for camping, though.

Ready to roll, guys? ETD 20 days :D
