New species:
Woolly Rhinoceros: This prehistoric rhinoceros lived throughout Asia & Europe during the Pleistocene to the end of the last glacial period.
Arctodus: An extinct genus of short - faced bear that inhabited North America during the Pleistocene.
Basilosaurus: The biggest prehistoric whale that lived from the Late Eocene & was the first prehistoric whale discovered. Fossils of Basilosaurus have been found in Egypt, the Western Sahara, Morocco, Pakistan, Tunisia, the Southern United States & Peru.
Gigantophis: A big extinct genus of snake living 40 million years ago during the Paleogene. It lived in the Paratethys Sea within the Northern Sahara where Egypt & Algeria are located. The second biggest snake.
Columbian mammoth: This mammoth inhabited the Northern United States to the South of Costa Rica, lived during the Pleistocene to the Pliocene making it the last mammoth. Believe it or not, the Columbian Mammoth is a hybrid descending from the huge steppe mammoth & the woolly mammoth.
Megatherium: An extinct genus of ground sloths that lived in South America from the Early Pliocene to the end of the Pleistocene.
Gastornis: Gastornis lived during the Middle Pleistocene to the Middle Eocene inhabiting Europe, Asia & North America. Even though it is not a terror bird, I think it will sound like a nice species to the game.
Ancylotherium: an extinct genus of the chalicotheres, endemic to Europe, Asia & Africa during the Late Miocene - Early Pleistocene. Ancylotherium had short back legs and longer front legs; this enabled it to feed easier on bushes and trees of prehistoric East Africa.
Otodus obliquus: An extinct genus of mackerel shark living during the Paleocene to the Pliocene & inhabited the Nanjemoy Formation of Maryland in the USA, Ypres clay in Belgium & western Kazakhstan.
Ngandong Tiger: The Ngandong Tiger lived during the Pleistocene inhabiting the Sundaland region of Indonesia. It measured 110 - 123 cm in length & weighed 143 to 400 kg.
