I do have something to say about all this (as in, all of these rumors going on since Day One), that nobody seems to consider at least once. And these rumors really baffle my mind because of some “contradictions” I feel are being completely and totally omitted, unintentionally.
“Why is it fundamentally impossible a second Camp Cretaceous will ever happen, just because you have fewer dinos to add in it? What earthly reason(s) is there to say so?”
Return to Jurassic Park of JWE1 has only 2 new species in it, and aside from this upcoming 4+ dinosaur pack tomorrow, Frontier
never mixes on-screen species with those that don’t in both JWE games. What earthly reason is there to say nothing like RTJP, from a new species roster perspective, will ever happen at any time? Even my Site B theory, assuming it will happen, has only 1 new species in it, which is Microceratus, for those said reasons.
Let’s say a Camp Cretaceous expansion pack will become a thing in this scenario I’m saying here:
All of the 3 campaign games in JWE2 are designed to fit within the overarching Jurassic universe from a story and narrative perspective (not gameplay perspective), and not “alternate realities” like all of JWE1’s campaigns. Even Rich Newbold, JWE2’s director, confirms the DFW campaign is designed to be that way back in Newsweek on November, 2021.
Quetzalcoatlus was never used in the Biosyn campaign, presumably because it didn’t need it, since they probably had no ways, let alone even planned, to properly add pterosaurs in it, especially since there are no Biosyn themed aviaries in it. Narratively and strategically wise, it’d probably wouldn’t make sense anyways to use aviaries, as that’s not really a Biosyn thing to do, despite the stuff you really do need to make like hatcheries and other types of necessary operations within the valley, from a gameplay perspective. I always knew Nothosaurus would be a lagoon type reptile, and not a land type reptile. Because of Frontier’s style of designing campaigns for this game, there's
no way they would have you make lagoons in it just to house the Nothosaurus in it. So it adds the possibility that a hypothetical CC expansion would not ever use Nothosaurus anyway, for the same possible reasons I said about the pterosaurs not being in the Biosyn campaign.
What’s to not say (maybe) Nothosaurus was included in the
Prehistoric Marine Species Pack because they wanted to utilize the real creature’s amphibious abilities, alongside Archelon, with and in something that’ll be PDLC exclusive, something that was already being planned anyway? The animal even
needs the DLC exclusive platform to stay happy, as I saw in another video by Evo Square. After all, no DLC in the world that I know of encourages purchasing another DLC to make something functionally possible.
