I got the SCO Drive.
Put it on my Anaconda, and it bumbed my jump range up by another 10ly... I was originally jumping at max around 65'ish light years, close to 70 with minimal fuel.
I'm now jumping upwards of 77/78 on a full tank... close to 84 with minimal fuel.
Cone jet jumps up to 315 - 320.
My Anaconda is Engineered, but it is not FULLY engineered... as I don't yet have all of my components modded for lightwieght, maybe only half of them are done... and I also have an extra 4c fuel tank, two 5a AMFU's, a 5a repair limpet controller and I always carry a couple dozen limpets... though I am also able to synthesize more while I'm out there.
I'm sure if I were to finish engineering everything, take the exrtra fuel tank out, maybe lose one of the AMFU's... I might be able to push that jump range up just a smidge higher.
But for now, I'm fairly satisfied with what I've got...
I went into Coriolis for curisosity and tricked out a Mandalay with the same components, or as similar as I could get... and set them all to be engineered the same as my Conda...
Doesn't even come close to my jump range.
For the record, yes I am replying to this ... 2 months later...
I had to send Fdev a support ticket about the SCO Drive... as I had fallen and broken my arm pretty badly shortly before Titan Cocijo... tried to participate in some attack runs on it, but failed miserably cause I wasn't able to control my ship very well with one arm in a cast... and when the CG ended, I didn't get the rewards... so I contacted them about it, even offered to send them proof of my injury... I figured at the least they would say "sorry no, but thanks for trying!"
Well Fdev took a couple months to respond to my support ticket, but they finally did.
They gave me 400 million credits, and the SCO Drive.
This allowed me to participate in this last Brewer Corp CG... with just a few days left before it expired, as I hadn't logged on for about week so didnt notice it right away... I was able to cone jet jump out a few thousand lightyears with a couple 78'ish ly jumps inbetween Nuetron stars... get a few dozen systems scanned over the last few days, and then cone jet jumped back just as the Lockdown was lifted... sold my data and got in the top 50% of contributors!
So thanks to everyone who replied to this thread... and more importantly...
Thank you to Fdev for being generous to a guy who was feeling down and depressed over a serious injury...
You've restored my interest in wanting to get back out there, and explore even further out then I've ever gone before...
I think the furthest I've gone is up into the Formidine Rift... I think next I might try heading in towards Sag A... or maybe try a run out towards Colonia, and beyond...
