CG predictions...

I've only recently climbed back on the horse after taking a very long break, thanks to stumbling upon a surprisingly enjoyable bounty hunting CG two weeks back. Now I'm in the mood for more, but instead we're getting "meh". My question is, how many weeks (on average) are there between combat-focused CGs these days? What happened to the good 'ol days when a CG would offer trade AND bounty hunting opportunities as part of the same CG?

Wrong thread quackers. This one is for predictions.

Anyway The megaships have gained Itineraries

I don't know what the threshold for "very" rare is, but to put some context on it, the last bounty hunting CG was the Onionhead Gamma thing last September. So about six months. Or put another way, in the last six months 40 CGs are listed on Inara. Some weeks have no CG, but up to three have run concurrently other weeks, so it averages to a little more than one per week. Two have been BH. Fully 20% (8 in total) were Colonia Bridge trade CGs! Many of those were cargo CGs without an accompanying "protect the traders" BH goal, so it does seem that FDev have stopped using that template.

Strange dates. HoT logs 22/04/3308.
They usually leave CG megaships in place for several weeks to give people a chance to visit and claim the reward without having to go hunt it down. CGs auto-complete and pay out after about two weeks if you don't return to the station after the CG ends, so April 22 makes perfect sense, as that's two weeks after next Thursday.

Still doesn't explain what the Musashi is doing out there in the first place, if it's not part of this week's goal and just headed back to T Tauri next week.

The Musashi is in HIP 39768, not in the CG location.

Hey, that's a really good point. Agreeing with you on that theory.
As for the Musashi, maybe it's role is moving the mined minerals back to T Tauri for studying, before the HoT returns too?
