CG predictions...

During any CG:
Booo, players do it only for profits, are all bad, and will support criminals, if they pay well. Noone interested by story.

Scrivs CG:
Nobody did it for money, we want win, because we are good guys

:D

Okay.
Observing this CG (% on inara, and both topics) to be fair was more interesting than trade and relogs :)
Get 64MCr per hour mining Plat so CG's are always a nice change even though they are less productive Cr wise.

Wait a minute, you say scrivs are the good guys? FDEV will decide that, not you!

Anyway, I made more than anyone doing Trade CG hahahahahahahahahahaha cause the story is already decided and will come out on Thursday whosoever wins as FDEV can't and wont change it at such short notice hahahahahahahaha.

Now read it with understanding, because I'm not saying, who is good, who bad, and which narration will win :p
I just see a little hypocricy from community, which think, that bad players usually ignore storyline, but in this single CG they magically changed into good altruists, which do it "for cause".

Oh, and I really don't care, what is profitable, I spent more than 50% of playtime in the void ;)

No hypocrisy here. The players on the trade side of this CG clearly weren't doing it for the credits, because the credits/hr doing the CG were terrible!

There were trade CGs earlier this year which I did purely for the money, without giving a crap about the storyline, because the runs were easy and the profits were high. For whatever reason, this CG seems to have dragged a lot more people in for the story aspect, even to the point of organising FC loading/unloading and rotating FCs in/out of the system, when most of them could have been making more money doing other things.

Why do you think that?

Top25% bottoms at 7800t
That means almost 60 millions only for trade (Emergency Power Cell), plus 18 mills the payout, that gets to 78 millions

7800 tons means 10 Cutter runs.
That's bout 30 minutes to load a carrier and about the same to unload it (for someone getting good parking spots loading and unloading - which is not impossible since the CG runs for its full duration)

I would not call that terrible, not even for the bottom of top25%

But if the Data CG payouts would have been like the ones in the past *() nobody would have cared about the Scriveners and everyone would have been happily relogging at Jamesons

*(4 billions for top 10% at tier 8 for the Hudson/Winters one compared with this one yielding a flat 40 millions per tier for top 10%)

Ground CZ are in place in Mudhrid - Gupta Industrial looking a good choice for a High - close to Daqing Terminal for those taking Frontline to the .... frontline

Edit: In fact that is the only ground High CZ, makes it easier to work out where ppl will be in Open :)

DREDGER CLAN FREED FROM ORION UNIVERSITY

25 NOV 3307
Pilots’ Federation ALERT
The Scriveners Clan dredger has been fully repaired, following twin initiatives in the HIP 43670 system.
A campaign by supporters of the Scriveners Clan delivered emergency power cells, power converters and power transfer buses to the Alliance of HIP 42371 at Oramus Terminal. A spokesperson for the group announced:
“As a result of our efforts, the dredger has received sufficient supplies to effect repairs. Most importantly, the new power systems mean it will shortly be able to bypass Orion University’s override codes and be free to travel the galaxy once more.”
A parallel campaign by Orion University’s partner Independent HIP 43670 Labour requested deliveries of anomalous bulk scan data, unusual encrypted files and unidentified scan archives to Shaara Gateway in HIP 43670. However, these were not sufficient to convince the nomadic tribe to agree to its offer of sharing future discoveries.
Vice Chancellor Leland Pettigrew expressed his regret, but confirmed that Orion University will honour the outcome and withdraw its claim over the dredger.
Contributors to both initiatives can now collect their rewards from Shaara Gateway or Oramus Terminal in the HIP 43670 system.

Caustic Missiles for supporting the NMLA ... not sure that will help balance things out ...
Interestingly set up, too - top 25% and Tier 1 required, so you can't just play both sides and hand in one zone for the NMLA to get it, you actually have to make a fair bit of effort.
(Equally, if they end up with few supporters, top 25% is usually relatively practical to go for a couple of days later)

Good theoretical set up for the CG, I think - it'll be very interesting to see how it works out in practice. (I'll also predict an Empire loyalist victory, though)

THE BATTLE OF MUDHRID

25 NOV 3307
Pilots’ Federation ALERT
The Neo-Marlinist Order of Mudhrid and the Epsilon Fornacis Empire Group have declared war in the Mudhrid system.
The Steel Majesty megaship is serving as the base of the Neo-Marlinist forces. These include many surviving NMLA terrorist cells that gathered to overtake the vessel from the Marlinist Colonies.
Also in the system is the Far God cult megaship Sacrosanct, where the NMLA’s de facto leader Theta Seven and the remnants of Theta Group have been in hiding for months. They recently took control of the vessel and are holding thousands of cultists hostage.
The Neo-Marlinist Order of Mudhrid have offered a uniquely augmented enzyme missile rack to its highest contributors if certain objectives are met. Margrave Corentin Delacroix broadcast a call to arms:
“All those who seek to topple the Duval dictators must fight alongside us here and now. Neo-Marlinism has no future unless its believers defend it.”
The Epsilon Fornacis Empire Group is orchestrating its campaign from Payne-Scott City starport. Senator Denton Patreus has requested that Imperial auxiliaries provide the faction with combat support.
ACT’s co-leader Captain Saskia Landau stated:
“The NMLA clearly places huge value on Theta Seven’s ability to produce caustic enzyme weapons, and has risked concentrating in large numbers to defend him. If he can transfer to the Steel Majesty and escape, the threat of further atrocities like the Nine Martyrs bombings will remain high.”

Doesn't the megaship tell you which one is the next/previous of the bridge?
Nope the mega ships arrive before the news in system is updated... they are hunted for first, news is updated later and not at all in EDO...
friday the news is likely to work but thats to late for first discovery...

Very interesting wording on the missile rack. The top 25% will get it if that CG reaches tier 1, unconditionally. Which means it'll still be given out even if the empire faction wins the war overall.
Well, if people measure their contributions well a fair amount of people can get those missiles. It's all about holding up between 25% and 10% avoiding contributing too much.

Works best if many people turn in a few bonds so the participant count is high, but only the contributions of those who want the rack are measureable.

On a meta note though, that would provide for more rep grinds for players still needing their empire and fed ranks for the ships they want.

Isn't it 25% of commanders participating, meaning if 1000 participate, the top 250 get it, regardless of turn in amount?

Bad move of the NMLAs part. Most people hate the Thargoids, so instead of seeing innocents that need protecting, people will see two targets they can take out at once.

Looking at the thresholds for the Dredger CG ... the data CG was relying a lot more on its top 10% for high-end contributions than the trade CG which was a lot flatter.

Don't think there's a lot to read into that, though - both were fairly typical for their CG type.

Muhdrid running at about 2:1 participants in favour of the Empire, and 3:2 in bonds in their favour. Feels unlikely that this is going to swing back the other way ... but the other thing to note is the overall pace - it's again looking likely that the 80B target is going to be hit by one side during the weekend.

(I've not been keeping track - have space combat bond payouts increased significantly since a few months ago when even the winner would struggle to make 40B by the end of the week, or is this just that more people have the framerate and equipment to efficiently plough through Odyssey CZs than previously?)

I think it's more people in Odyssey. If you have it working well enough to play ground CZs it's much more lucrative and dare I say it more fun than space CZs
With high enough skill and good enough gear, yes. I made the top 25% for the missile rack effortlessly in an hour yesterday. But it only works in high CZ, in medium and low the payouts are much lower. Still bit of a sad affair that you no longer need a warship, but can just fly a Sidey to a ground CZ, jump out in the Dominator and make more bonds easily than you would with the warship. The bugs in Odyssey make it only worse. My second CZ yesterday was bugged, the progress bars got stuck, it never completed. Endless stream of slaughter and bonds.
