He had to say it, didn't he....

If you want people on your side, there are two words you must never mention together, and those are 'Final Solution'.....
A narcissistic genocidal megalomaniac is exactly what we need right now to push back against the Thargoids. And when he's no longer needed, someone can take him behind the shed. I'm not loyal to the person, I'm loyal to results. And in that Salvation beats Aegis. Now if there were an Aegis reformation project, I'd support that, too. Always good to have more than one weapon on your ship.

The problem with narcissistic genocidal megalomaniacs is getting them to stop. Sure, killing him will be necessary - but he probably knows that's the plan too.

Halloran was checking for side-effects against our own infrastructure in Delphi ... given the logs from the Hesperus escapees, I think it's entirely likely that the superweapon could also be deliberately turned on human targets.

Moving the three megaships to the superpower capitals and giving them instructions to open fire if interfered with in any way? With a pre-emptive strike on Meene as a demonstration to take out our best chance of coming up with a counter-measure?

Now that would be a CG :D

So you're not against the genocide, just the person who pushes the button? Makes you as much the genocidal maniac as Salvation appears to be, to be honest.

I'm a cannibal slave meat burger entrepreneur and...well, you scare me.

The term genocide has lost all meaning. Destroying a few dozen, maybe hundreds, of Interceptors who invaded human systems is genocide?

Why is it okay for the Thargoids to kill thousands of humans each time they attack?

I support Tesreau and maybe she'll find a better way to end this conflict, but I won't accept being shamed for defending ourselves.

This round of attacks, and Cornsar before it, weren't genocide, no.

But that's the aim, isn't it? Eliminate the Thargoid threat by deploying Salvation's goodies on a wide enough scale for them to be the "final solution"? I see nothing in Salvation's messaging to persuade me that he's aiming for anything less....

That's defense, absolutely. AX squadrons were doing much the same for the past weeks.

It's Salvation's latest message which shows his intent to move from defence to genocide, which is rather more of a problem.

Oh yeah, Salvation is a maniac. I just don't like the word genocide being thrown around after every skirmish.

Cmdr Jameson is rolling in his grave now.
At least he still holds the Guinness World Record for most naive person ever.

"The weapon is... lethal." Come on. The top secret super weapon to once and for all end the Thargoid war before humanity goes extinct is harmful to Thargoids? 😱
