chances of cutter improvement?

Here is the original Reddit thread about that video: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDange...mperial_cutter_vs_2_corvette_very_bad_build/?

Even the Cutter pilot agrees that those two Cutter pilots were under-fitted noobs.

Better video about Cutter PVP from same pilot is this one where he is dueling with corvette that actually has some clue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOCYkuU2C9k

You can see that Olivka (Cutter pilot in both videos) is basically relying on moving backwards most of the time to keep the targets in sights.

Cutter itself is very problematic ship, as it has incredibly good soft stats in certain categories (speed, mass lock, internals for hauling or tank) and yet it is stiff as a railroad block where it comes to maneuvering and the capacitor is not exactly something to write home about either. This wasn´t done by accident (as FDev was asked about this several times), but I can´t say I like the results. Except for hauling. That´s like printing credits with Cutter.

or a pitch buff./QUOTE]

Why not follow logic and give it's true values of yaw? Don't expect pitch to get better, yaw on the other hand, there's simply no reasonable argument against it. Together with Differential Controls for each thruster that should definitely fall into place perfectly.

No, it isn't. It's called burden of proof. Someone makes a claim, and it is on them to back up that claim.

Basically, not someone blowing up a newbie Sidewinder.

Yes it is.

Those video's have been linked, and by stating "someone seriously pvp'ing" you are leaving yourself open to be able to say any video does not count. That is the definition of the informal fallacy "No true Scotsman".

Here's how I see.

Cutter-end game trade ship capable of standing against pirates should it come under attack. A bulk trader designed specifically for sex appeal with its nice curves and delivering the most luxurious slaves in the most luscious style. It demonstrates the empires commercial prowess and cultural might. (I'd like to state I am an outsider in imperial rank)

Anaconda-a commercial corvette class vessel designed to give options for both firepower and trading ability. A merchant marine if you will, something that's not as effective as a t-9 but a higher survivabiliity.

Corvette-combat.... Simple as that. Raw firepower in the form of twin huges and excellent staying power. Needs to be towed into firing position by its big brother the Farragut who can then go play with the big boys while junior takes care of pirates. Could theoretically work as a short range trader but seems a waste of its potential.

I only own the conda but this is the impression I gain from these ships. And I like that the corvette and the cutter are mostly one sided in their intentions but both are reasonably able to do both.

Instead of an actual ship buff the new equipment should help determine the ship roles.

I know the perfect Cutter buff to end this: Change the description to fit what the ship is :)

Then release the Panther Clipper, with even more cargo space, without the wall of rank grinding, and leave the Cutter in the trash can forever.

The description does fit it, infact I think its one of the best descriptions in the game for the ship its talking about.

If you want a similar cutter buff to end this, you need to be able to reach inside their head, and change what the word warship means to them ;)

The panther clipper has a reasonable chance of trash canning all of the big 3 actually if it is any margin better than the cutter, because they are already fairly tightly aligned.
