Change pre-3.3 First Discovered Tags to First Visited

So brilliant that now a quick 5000ly trip out & back to earn loads'a'money, sorry I mean exploring and you get Elite Explorer. Job done, now back to what ever.

But aren't you going to explore any more.

Why I'm Elite, no need, besides I'm not doing that scanning stuff again, it's beyond tedious. Bye!

More like throwing the baby out with the bathwater and replacing it with a faulty robot. ;)

The removal of the ADS was a totally unnecessary move and the FSS is a broken mess, not a brilliant upgrade.

No it wasn't unnecessary, they had to remove the ADS to allow the FSS to be fitted as standard to all ships which spared real explorers having to return to the bubble to refit. A sensible and considerate way to implement an upgrade with minimal disruption for all players.

Have you contacted trading standards yet ?. I'm guessing that you haven't.

Not everyone's a min-maxer, some people actually enjoy the game and don't just focus on the rating. The FSS unlike the outmoded ADS also has some very handy in bubble utilities so you have to look beyond such a narrow focus.

Perhaps the tag could show the discovery date on the Sysmap? That information would differentiate between pre & post 3.3 'discoveries'...
I suggested this last year, and the thread got a lot of support. If Frontier were going to do this, I think they would have in 3.3. Unfortunately Frontier rarely listens to our suggestions..

As for having a dozen tags on each planet, I'm not a fan. The UI is already looking cluttered with the separate "Discovered By" vs "Mapped By" labels.

The labels could be shown by priority - Mapped By shown in preference to Visited By and Visited By in preference to Discovered By then First Reported By being bottom of the pile perhaps.

The full details could be still held and shown through the in-game encyclopaedia entries.

Can you link to your thread? Might be some extra insight not covered in this one. This thread is pretty old too btw, I don't remember seeing another.
