Any suggestions? I wanted different colors, but don't know the best combination.
The default works fine for the most amount of people. Having a bunch of pretty colors doesn't really win you any points in anyone's mind. And lord help me when i run across emails from professionals with comic sans in hot pink on a yellow background.
Second place is dev/mod posts having an excuse to stand out.
Alright. I disagree. But as a true freedom lover, I respect your opinion and belief even if I do not share your conviction in the matter.
You can disagree all you want (and as stated you are certainly free to continue to do so) but its literally one of the most fundamental web design and electronic communications concepts to have consistency in font and that what you might think is appealing is probably glaring to everyone who has to communicate with you.
There's a whole subsection of visual media education devoted to the psychology of font and color choice in text.
Plus it conveys a sense of childish naivety which... on this forum might be ok but in any professional world is a great way to get laughed about at the water cooler.
My comments are purely educational of course and again, feel free to go nuts.

I ask questions often. Not always appreciated by adults for some reason.
Me too.
Mostly when people don't appreciate questions its because they are either annoyed by being shown up (asking something they never even considered), or its something they could never answer themselves, thus making them look bad.
