General Change the payout system for wing missions

The system how the payouts work for missions should be changed. I don't like it how most of the players boost others through the game with sharing missions, doing all the work and everyone else receiving payouts for doing literally nothing. I think it should be changed, that you only get payouts for what you contributed, for example, if you do cargo missions and you only transport one cargo unit, you should only get paid for this one; same goes for those massacre missions.
The entire payout should be split between all wing members.

I know that this game is a huge grind, maybe the prices for everything should be reduced then? And why are only wing missions shareable? I think everything should be shareable. Note: I bought the game last year, so I don't have everything yet. I am not the kind of player, who has everything and is asking stuff like this now to have an advantge over others or something like this.

Umm, really? Wing missions are shareable because wing missions are designed for wings of players, not single players. Other missions are designed for single players with commensurate rewards, why would you share a single player mission?

Problem with that is it takes away from interesting teamwork. If you're doing a cargo mission and have a wingmate fly a combat ship to deal with the pirates, they deserve the payout too but didn't haul any cargo.

With Fleet Carriers rich players can transfer large amounts of money to beginners anyway, so at least doing it with a wing mission there's some gameplay involved.

And why are only wing missions shareable?
Some mission types don't really make sense as shareable - data courier, for example - but this is something the Odyssey missions do a lot better: all on-foot missions can be shared.

Can someone please notify Frontier to this?
It takes like a month or two to afford a fleet carrier and fill it with ships. After that the only thing I see to spend credits on is fuel for my carrier, if I am too lazy to mine it. All without help from any other players. Are you under the impression that money in this game means anything and someone getting a foot up from a friend is a bad thing? I have yet to play a game where other players couldn't help you with gear, money or whatever, nothing new about that in Elite, except they make it a bit more of a hassle than simply handing your friend a billion credits.

One of the big criticisms of the game for many years was how there wasn't enough sharing of missions.

I'm all for balanced rewards based on contribution, but that can be tricky to determine, especially with more complex mission types.

Hard pass...

If we're going to go that route, might as well introduce type-ratings before you can purchase a new ship to show you're competent enough to be insured, as well as faction enlistment periods before you can engage in combat missions. Oh, and let's throw in ship and module storage fees, docking fees, taxes on profits, insurance payments, cargo insurance, passenger insurance, repair prices that just bend you over....the list can get quite extensive.

The point is, the game is already a grindy mess. Don't punish other players for having friends if you have none yourself.

dude, you really ought to spend some time looking around in this forum before you post.
Your at 100% at hitting sore spots.

thousands of us have been here from the very beginning.
and the things that have broken, failed and on and on have been through the washer and the dryer and the second hand store and back again for round 19. more than once for many
and you sound like you have zero experience in the game or this forum. and for me at least means, I really don't want to hear your thoughts yet. not like this anyway.
so, many thousands before you have also done this.

I get that this one is far harsher than the one I did yesterday.

I have worked in places where new hires immediately throw these things at me .
I respond with, you are new, for 3 months, you can go home at any minute. your job is to learn this place and these people, do your job, learn and do NOT ever offer up suggestions unless it is regarding safety.
after 3 months, we will be less concerned and you will have earned a place.
2nd warning is brutal, = one more time and you are on the bus.

This is a nightmare for all involved and no-one wants to be fired or do the firing.
But it is a major disruption in the work place when new hires cannot control their in-experienced mouth.
I work in Oil & Gas, so it is actually dangerous allowing a loose cannon on site.

This is a game, but affecting many of the old-timers the exact same way.
mostly because there are sooo many with such extreme passion for this game. I am one too.

but, very sorry for my words.

do enjoy the game and be comfortable being yourself.

P.S. if you want to give these directly to fdev, find in this forum who that is and message them, or simply address any one of them in your post rather than asking one of us to help with that. cause that's not going to happen.

If you didn't notice, these threads are posted in "Suggestions" and are only suggestions, if you like them or not. I can voice my opinion and suggestions as everyone else here, doesn't matter how long I am playing this game. I am playing since 2020 and I finished atleast half of the game, so I am over your 3 month probation.

You didn't read or didn't understand the last part of my first post. Never said something about adding fees. I am the competitve type of player and I try to make people better at games. I simply don't like mechanics, that allows boosting, not contributing anything to the mission and getting the reward for doing literally nothing. I've seen so many new players, who got boosted with payouts and money and then bought a big ship they couldn't handle, died with that, lost anything and never returned to the game.

The entire payout should be split between all wing members.

We had that. For many years. And for many years, nobody ever used wings, as it meant extra coordination effort to actually cut down on your profit. The current system merely is a way to finally make wings work.

But hey, the game is already taking so much damage recently, let's demand to add some more...

If hes new why should he know about or care about your distressed video game issues? He paid, he gets a voice too.
