Please i have spent lot of time looking at orange!!!!!!! Please frontier fix this. I have known many commanders who quit because of this. Please add it in the next update series. Something so simple can affect our averyday gaming experience.

I mean like... not many games let you change the color of the HUD... you only want it so bad for ED because you've seen it on PC. Just pretend you never saw it.
Changing the color on PC is done by (technically) modding the game. It would have to become an official feature on PC to come Xbox. And that's not high on FD's priorities so... don't hold your breath.

Very true (and games should support such a feature as standard, at least where it's actually applicable, i.e. changing Dark Souls' 'HUD' wouldn't really change much), but I think what compounds the issue in Elite is FDev's decision to give every single ship in the entire galaxy an identical UI.
No matter what ship we're in or what we're doing - from explorer, to bounty hunter, to trader - we're all stuck staring at the same HUD elements, and in the same colour. People would always want different colours, sure, but there are very good reasons to be weary of Elite's HUD.
Though I'd maybe argue the community's better off without people who - apparently - quit because of HUD colouring. Maybe they're allergic to orange, or summat...
It doesn't necessarily...there are many, many HUD colour schemes that don't affect the board graphics. However, like you say it's more of a complicated piece of programming for FDev than simply adding a colour slider like many believe....
I'm sorry to say this but imho it's a bit weird to link the hud color to all text presented and perhaps other elements in the game.

Seconded. It's a shame that Frontier still hasn't added an in-game option to customize the HUD. Premium HUDs would be suffice too.
Yep many custom HUDs look just fine. This is another excuse of Frontier to not add custom HUDs.

I put it down to Microsoft rather than FDev... since we on PC have access to our file system and have some awesome folks like Dr Kaii (as a for instance) who code wonderful tools for us to do all that stuff. Dr Kaii's E-D profiler is pretty awesome and supported by FDev as a third party tool....Microsoft won't allow that kind of file access or 3rd party tool on Xbox which is squarely in their court, not FDev's.

This is a perfectly valid request that has appeared many times on this forum. Sadly there is no way to change it and as far as we know Frontier doesn't have any plans to make it available. There has been speculation about the reasons, one is that the HUD is designed in such a way that different elements are tied together, and changing the hue of one would break the function of others (see the radar elements for example). It would be simply too much work for the developers to completely remake the HUD in a way that it can be customizable.
That said it's not entirely impossible that one of the "Beyond" updates will contain such a function, either by giving us the RGB option or making it a purchasable item in the store, like weapon and engine colors. I know I would gladly pay 100 Frontier Points for every single color as I'm fed up with orange, too.
But for the time being this is out of the question.
To those who say most games don't offer such option: that's true, however, most games don't have such an integral HUD as Elite. The HUD itself is an organic part of the cockpit thus it would be perfectly logical to have the option to customize it. Fallout 4, for example, has a similarly iconic HUD and it also gives us the option to change it to any color. Most game HUDs are white and designed to be out of the picture as possible whereas a spaceship cockpit HUD is the most important part to controlling it. So it's not fair to compare Elite to any other game.

What I'm saying is...if Microsoft didn't have the closed operating system, some lovely 3rd party bloke/blokess would have gifted Xbox users a Dr Kaii's E-D profiler/HUD editor or the like.
I get that changing HUD colour is fairly high on Xbox players wish list...it sure was on mine. After switching over to PC, getting rid of the hateful orangeness was practically my first action after installing the game [haha]

Some people are color blind(not me) I had a friend who had to give up. Cause he could not tell the difference between hud and background. That is what he said. I personally don’t know how bad it is.
I do have problems when I’m fighting in ice rings. I can’t see my fixed weapons tracker cause of the background.
Other then that I’m having no problems... Sure it would be cool to change. I think I would go with a dark green or neon blue. Maybe alarm red...
But yes let’s see. Perhaps in the future.
