We knew that a long time ago. This was always going to be a small update. But it does leave it open for 3.3 the one we are all waiting for to be released earlier then we think.

Given the mess they made of Crime and Punishment I'd rather they left things alone tbh.

At this point its unknown though really,i cant see them making a cinematic trailer about some tweaks/fixes etc. So there maybe some in there but we just dont see it in a cinematic.
Guess we wait on the patch notes.

Does not look old Guardian to me. Exiles (now AI). Time to grind G-ships blueprints.

That's part of why I'm disenfranchised with Elites development path over the past few years. It often feels like design decisions are more with good trailers in mind than good game play.
The Blue 'thing' is in a receptacle, which appears to be visible in this image (red circle)

Problem is that the Thing part on picture 3 likely does not point at the same location as the Thing part in picture 1 (unless there's another planet). Possibly the Thing is rotating, though.
Btw, any idea about the "scorch marks" underneath the Thing part on picture 3?
