Chapter 3 release date 28th August

it's a little difficult to get exited when you don't know what the hell you're looking at. I'm sure it's exciting whatever it is, but it might just turn out to be a big glowing guardian member in your face

Did anybody else see this...

...and immediately think of this...?

Nope, this:

Then, what about this part? Doesn't look like being part of the structure Thing, but more like a ship. Farragut I thought at first, but doesn't seem to quite fit.

I saw that not so long ago somewhere else. Sadly can't remember where. I assumed it was a player ship with a ship kit.

[IMGUR]pXJO1PE[/IMGUR] this kinda remind me of the structure thing u see in the 1st 9 sec of the new video.... Doooom i tell u dooom! they got a planet killer..

After playing No Man's Sky recently, I must say that I do sorely miss the ability to walk around in Elite Dangerous. In retrospect, I think it was a mistake to have us drive a car on planets instead of walking around. Even if it is for the exact same content, it's just such a different feeling to be on foot on an alien world.

New Ship huh?

Anyway, looking forward to all the core mechanics and QOL updates of Beyond that couldn't make it into V3.1

[HYPE ALERT:]
It may be focusing something to/from the gas giant ... a communicator maybe ..... in which case, is this a precursor to gas giant atmospheric worlds later ? [/HYPE ALERT]

Think you might be looking at the image wrong, pal. The 'thing' is in the foreground, not pointing at the planet.

These probably aren't Guardians, peeps - it is Guardian technology, but I don't think the Guardians themselves will be piloting them or living (hell, you know I don't want to believe that).

These are the AI (Constructs) I strongly suspect - they could behave in the same way the Sentinels do at the Guardian Structures.

However, the Sentinels were built and placed at the Guardian Structures to guard them from Thargoids, so those were around before the two civil wars (and appear to have no sentient AI since they are so simplistic in defend mode) and before the Constructs gained sentience ... so it is possible these Construst ships or stations (whatever they are) won't be initially hostile (unless they decide they hate all biological intelligent life) - they will have a will of their own, so keep that in mind... ;)
