Clarification needed from FD on the Ship Transfer feature

Not until you sell the T9. Sell it and buy a T6. Then you'll be able to transfer ships, unless your other ships are an eagle and an FDL. In that case, you should sell the eagle and buy two sidewinders instead. But don't upgrade them, they have to be vanilla.

It is a dig at Adam from the livestream at Gamescom, as they explained the ship transfer then he suddenly did his own one where he was in a T9 and needed to swap for a conflict zone, as he obviously spaced off and didn't hear what they had been saying.

You have to BUY the Vulture, then fly it SOMEWHERE ELSE, then buy a DIFFERENT ship, fly BACK to your Type 9, and then summon your Vulture.

That's what makes it so convenient!

So I just checked with Adam for you...

He says that you still will be able to use ship transfer, however he strongly recommends that you head over to a combat zone and switch out your Type 9 for a Vulture. It's probably the best and most efficient way to use the new ship transfer features.

That said - it can be used in other instances... such as changing back from your Vulture in to the Type 9 after leaving the combat zone.

I was just so excited by the feature that I want to reiterate it's usefulness.

Now, where did I leave my Vulture.....

Phew - thanks for the clarification, maybe you should have gone over it again in the streams - it really wasn't clear...

On an unrelated note, anyone know a place where I can get t-shirts printed with custom graphics?

...and the magic material dust. Who knew that a couple of grams of magic nickel and sulphur dust, collected by hitting a rock off the srv cockpit, like a Mario cart, could do wondrous things for upgrades.
