Let's play a game. What do you think is more suited for a sci fi sniper rifle in a videogame :
1/a slow mo pink ball of death that takes several seconds to reach the target (who already moved when they heard you fire)
2/a near instant projectile shot by a railgun
3/a laser ray that hit the target at the speed of light

If you answered 1, then you can work for Fdev ! If you answered 2 or 3, then congratulation, you are a normal human being.

Actually, this topic is not about rifles, but about ship rail guns. They exist only small and medium sizes, why still no large or huge classes ??? Vote plz, hope fdev will impose it.

I'm inclined to say yes. Plasma Accelerators can go up to Class 4 and that's already nuts. Class 3 Rail Guns would be neat. It would certainly open up some builds. I wonder why they don't exist?

I don't know, but what I know is that this argument is very stupid.
