You mean it's not a roomba? Why is the Asp Scout a medium ship when in reality it's asandwich?

The clipper is the best core miner in the game.cutter = good,
clipper = pile of horse droppings
sell the clipper
And a proper mid-size T series. Type 6 doesn't really count.Medium size Gutamaya and Saud Kruger ships STILL missing from the lineup.
The large hull for the Clipper is annoying as hell. Should definitely be medium imho. Why are they both large sized hulls? Is there any reason to keep the Clipper once you get the Cutter? It would make sense if it were a medium hull for landing at outposts...but its not. I don't get it. Why make them both large hulls?

Since no one explained that...
Because FDEVs ff.... messed up with dimensions. They designed Clipper as a MEDIUM pad ship, done all the modelling, flight characteristic, maneuverability, stats. Job done, implemented and... it turned out external dimensions (mostly nacelles) are TOO WIDE for a M-pad.
Simply put - it doesn't fit M-pad.
Houston, we may have a problem here. Remodel? Resize? Naah, just slap L-pad restriction. There, fixed. All because wing tips are few centimeters too far.
Funny. You spelled Krait completely wrongThe clipper is the best core miner in the game.

Many. Despite being L-size ship she handles incredibly well (mostly due to being M-sized in stats). It's pure joy to fly her. I, for example, made Bubble-Colonia journey in a Clipper. Having a Cutter doesn't make Clipper unusable - you just need to find it's niche.
Goes BWWWWWAAAAACCHHHHOOOOMMMMMM in the boost
This alone is a good enough reason to own a clipper..
Clipper dimensions: 106.7 x 103.7 x 24.8
M-pad dimensions: 150 x 90
L-pad dimensions: 213 x 128
As Clipper fits in length it doesn't fit in width. Bit more than my previous statement but still it's nearly 14m too wide to fit. Other dimensions, flight characteristics - all say Clipper is M-pad ship that due to physical design is set as L-pad only.
Just a quick comparison plus what I heard.
