Clipper as a bounty hunter : Nice surprise

Move along......No need for nerf talk.

Can't see it being beaten badly with any nerf stick due to it not being able to own people in pvp. Unless the upcoming Chaff nerf is really bad...

For Pve bounty hunting it could be argued that its better than the Python as it more or less has the same amount of pew pew until the Python owner can afford the 15M distributor.

I spent about 3 weeks in one, but was glad to get out of it. Not being able to land on outposts clips your wings.

Running costs and wear and tear is ridiculous

it forces you too run as a trader really to keep up income...

The Python will still be a very good ship, just not the invincible murder machine it is now.

To put things into perspective, it currently has a stronger shield rating than the Anaconda (even though it's half the size), the same agility rating as the Cobra (even though it's twice the size), tons of useful internal slots, and three converging large hardpoints (and two mediums, but who even uses those?). It's not even slow (the oft cited "trade off"), it just has a poor boost speed. Its base speed is actually higher than the Eagle and the Sidewinder!

After the "nerf" it'll still have some of the strongest shields in the game (just not the strongest), it'll still turn comparatively quickly compared to larger ships (just not smaller ones!), it'll still have all those internal slots that you can pack full of gear, and it'll still have those three converging large hardpoints. It'll also be a little bit slower, hang on I'll just get my tiny violin.

So dry your tears, the sky hasn't fallen... and even if it did, it'd just bounce off your bloody shields anyway. And after it bounces off you can shoot it with three perfectly converging large weapons, just to show it who's boss.

I think I'm in love <3

I recently got my Clipper to replace the slug of a T7 and was very happy with the performance an agility of it compared to the T7.

This got me wondering, T6 -> Asp = Better, mmmm T7 -> Clipper = Better ??

So I went ahead and did some weapon load outs.

Dumb fire missiles = real pants as the targets do not converge and any how they cost a bomb and are limited in supply during a session without constantly redocking.

But Large and Medium gimballed Beams :) :) Oh what fun.

So I have 2 Large Gimballed beams and 2 Medium Gimballed Beams as well as a A class power distributor to feed the monsters :)

Pick ya target, KWS it, get within 1km of it and 1 full pull on the trigger will empty the weapons bank and take out a complete Cobra with 100% shields :) :) :) WOW !!!!!!

It is so nice, cruise up at about 200 speed so comfortably, boost if you need to, does a 360 loop in about 5 seconds in the blue band :)

You need to get close to help the underpowered gimballs and to maximize the locking (need better sensors) but the power is absolutely awesome.

Dropships / Asp = 2 passes. BTW each pass last about 5 seconds :) Anything Cobra and under is usually 1 pass

I might even end up selling the full spec'd Asp now I have this load out.

And the best thing, running with A4 shields, 1 A3 Shield Cell (not used it yet), Chaff, Point Defense and still 224t of cargo. And of course lasers are free and endless.

Just need a A5 FSD to get the range to 15ly.

So if you haven't tried it, the Clipper would make a great bounty or pirate due to the power it has and the cargo space.

5 sec for a loop thats absurd for a large vesssel........neeeeeeeeerrf it now so the small ships can keeel it wit 1 button
