[CLOSED] EDDB - a site about systems, stations, commodities and trade routes in Elite: Dangerous.

A suggestion for the multi-hop trade route. If we could optionally set a destination as well as an orign point that way if we so choose so we can make multiple trades on our way to a certain destination.

Similiar to how the single hop works to my understanding but being able to make other stops on your way to the destination.

I'm sorry but I can't accomplish this. The multi hop route finder is a little like lottery and I have no chance of finding out a roundtrip in the given cpu cycle - too many cpu-expensive permutations had to be calculated.

The refurbished single-hop finder is pretty, but can we have result sorting back? I vastly prefer sorting by Cr/ly and sometimes just ly, instead of raw Cr.

OK I see. I thought with the filters the sorting is not needed anymore. But since I get this request more regulary I will implement it soon.

Prices change and so do the prohibited commodities. eddb can only offer snapshots which CAN be wrong at one point :(

Like I said it's a great tool.
I thought, maybe there's something that can be done to eradicate those bad apples who don't confirm prices before sending to data base. I have noticed OCR sometimes takes 6 for 8, but that's up to the person who scans and sends data, to check it. Seems like not everyone can be bothered :(

I have an issue with this website.
So I was trading Imperial Slaves from Atwater Gateway - Ehecatl, to Theodorsen Station - Gebel, with a profit of 2100 per ton.
I used the Single Route Finder and entered the stations to do some numbers.
However the website suggested the best profit from that route is Domestic Appliances with the profit of 235 per ton.
I checked the data and prices of both stations which was fine, I then click on Atwater Gateway and use the Hop finder from there, it did show the right info if I trade imperial slaves to Theodorsen Station.
Just wondering if there's something wrong with the site?

Just update the prices with any EDDN tool.

I'm getting a lot of "false" negatives these days when using the single route finder tool - the route returns nothing, but I am able to sell multiple commodities from my current location to the end location. The stations aren't terribly out of date. Has there been some changes that might have compromised the tool? I hope we can get this working again - I love this tool - it's so very helpful.

Sorry - I found the problem - I had put an "age" on the filter. My fault. Sorry to waste your time :)

Can you provide an example?

First and foremost - thanks very much for taking the time to develop this tool. It's been incredibly useful for a project of my own (particularly the JSON downloads).

Are there any plans to allow for API-based updates to system data? (Essentially, I'd like my own website to be able to send updated data back to EDDB once it's been verified by multiple members without someone having to manually log into ROSS.)

Have just used EliteOCR and Updated EDDB through it, but when I check on EDDB the last update was over 20 hours even though OCR gave No Errors?

Any ideas?

Thanks & Regards

Is there a guide on setting up one of the tools used to upload market data? I currently have TCE but I like the idea of not having an overlay.

In the past your excellent tool, thread has been added to EDCodex. Before EDCodex was released on the 17th of August you have received in the period 5th - 10th of August a PM with an invitation and a special link. After registering and logging in you would automatically become owner of your entry. According to the admin tool(s) you haven't used the special link (yet). Perhaps you have missed the PM or have been (temporarily) away from ED. Its also possible you choose not to claim your entry. Note: Its also possible to assign another commander editing rights for your entry. In either case please send us a PM. You can find your EDCodex entry here.

Alternative way to get ownership
The special link will cease to function in the (near) future, for security reasons. Should you after that point want to become owner of your entry you can use the "Claim ownership" button. In that case please send biobob or myself a PM with the email addressed you used for registration - for verification. You can also use this procedure if you no longer have the PM.

What is EDCodex:
Its a website with a database of currently approx 215+ tools, threads, websites, videos for ED. Any one can and is encouraged to add entries there. EDCodex is and should be community-driven. EDCodex companion thread. Its equally suited for PC's, tablets and smartphones and has RSS feeds.

With kind regards,
