[CLOSED] EDDB - a site about systems, stations, commodities and trade routes in Elite: Dangerous.

Every time I try to enter new body data for a new planet I get:

Bad Request (#400)

Unable to verify your data submission.

The above error occurred while the Web server was processing your request.

Please contact us if you think this is a server error. Thank you.

What could I have possibly done wrong? Also, when on the same page (Home / Bodies / Create) and I press logout, I get the same message.

Haven't got the foggiest idea to what I can do to correct this. Still, I hope I can do something, as I want to enter my material findings :)

Kind regards,
CMDR Jermus

Ah! I found out what it was. It appeared that my login with ROSS was broken. Somehow they are connected...

Nice, coöperating systems, but confusing at some times... ;)

Ah, well. I could enter my data. On with the prospecting!

By the way: what a marvelous good web interface to enter the data! [up]

One thing that puzzles me: "The Monster" allowed to enter materials per rock. This has disappeared in the web interface. Has this been left out on purpose, or did is it something that is still in consideration, or has been forgotten (I can't imagine the last one).

Thanks for reading,
CMDR Jermus

I know that Internet Explorer has an odd Cookie bug which leads to that kind of problem. Chrome never makes such issues.

For EDDB I simplified that a bit to make it useable for every use case. You still can do it per rock, but eventually the existence of a material is what matters. Soon we will get that list viesible in system map anyway :)

The bug was indeed seen on Internet Explorer, when switching to chrome I found out where it went wrong :). Thanks for the confirmation.

And I like simple ;)

Hi,

Maybe I'm dumb and sorry if this question was answered, but is Max Hop Distance supposed to be the most my ship can hop or the most I'm willing to hop/can hop with max fuel?

Thanks, and sorry again if this was answered before or placed in a FAQ somewhere, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

Don't be sorry for asking questions :)
If you hover with your mouse over the settings, a help text will appear. In this case: The maximum distance in ly between a buying and a selling station.

Single hop query improvement request

I don't know if this has been reported before but there is something that could be improved in the Single Route Finder: if the cargo capacity exceeds the max of the supply quantities then the request returns no value. I think it should return the max profit possible even if you cant fill all of your cargo, don't you think?

Thanks for a great tool!

This is a valid request indeed. :D
Due to the SQL optimization this is not very trivial to achieve though. I will look into it...

*Mod hat off

I am just trying to establish the best commodity for a single hope route, but the distance between the 2 systems is 160 LY, way beyond the hop distance limit in the filters (which is 80). Any idea if I am doing something wrong or if there is a way I can remove the hop distance limit when stating 2 specific stations?

If you set two stations, the limit should not become active indeed. Can you post a screenshot of your search and give information about the expected outcome?

Having some traffic-load issues?

EDIT:
: It's been too painful to use most of the day.

EDIT-2:
: Thank you for the site-posted-update.
