In another game I know you can shoot a guy in the face with a 152mm tank canon. But don't worry, that guy isn't dead, he's "knocked out". -> Lower PEGI rating granted.
At least the PEGI 7+ kids can still cannibalize their canisters of slaves if they misbehave.

The difference is the level of violence. In the present game, you don't see the pilot's bodies on fire on the ship, what's left of a pilot if the canopy is breached and they're hit by a multi-cannon slug (messy!) or having to navigate around bits of bodies when you blow up a passenger vessel (you horrible people!!). Maybe they should add those things in to raise the base game's age rating so it's consistent!
