This is very hopeful thinking. There are things I think Frontier are capable of doing (and want to do) and then there are things that are oft asked for but have incredibly low probability of ever existing; lush earth-like worlds with flora and fauna and what not is probably not a realistic expectation.
As the younger brother, it is your solemn duty to rub it in.
You could've just said that one has been released while other one isn't...
Though, I feel like elite could go back to early access for a while to iron out all the bugs they've introduced and left in the game over the years.
I can't shake the idea there is an office full of PPAP dancing coming up with ideas

I 'pledged' years ago, I disagree that the eternal alpha was ever eating better than ED..
ED is a released product and presents a whole galaxy, with ships available in game for game currency on their stated release date (and not £1,000's to purchase whenever it may happen)
SC is a very pretty (essentially) Tech Demo that may or may not be playable on any particular day.... But it is very pretty...
I am an original Kickstarter backer for both. Frontier focused on universe sim and ships, CIG has focused on experience from an FPS perspective.
Elite has only very recently seen life after a very tough Oddessy launch that was not popular, on the back of Horizons that also didn't really meet expectations. Elite might have released, but arguably only now are we seeing some of the potential being tapped.
The world is a better place if both are successful, and both continue to see their respective developers breathe life into them.
You know … the C5 may limit how long the Mandalay survives as my “daily driver” or “mission runner” but I’m still gonna purchase both … FDev re-investing in Elite has re-ignited my own interest in the game and I feel like lobbing them a few quid to reward them - and hopefully ensure further development continues in 2025 and beyond - is worthwhile at this point.
I disagree. A 1:1 galaxy was, and still is, so groundbreaking that no-one else even attempts it. They’ve been steadily adding features from the beginning.
There was a major blip (can’t use the term I want on the Forum) at the release of Odyssey - which really shouldn’t have come out when it did - that took a lot of (the very limited) resources to fix. And now they seem to be back into the swing of things.
Not wanting to wander too far off topic. But Star Citizen, despite have so many devs on its payroll and a ridiculous amount of funding, still doesn’t have a single complete game loop. The only thing that makes it worth playing is the community.
Well, at least one of the games has released during my lifetime, I seriously doubt the other will ever get there, despite the confidence of the faithful.
But, yes, it would be nice if both were actual games, rather than just one.

Frontier's other IPs did not do well. It is good to see Frontier investing in Elite, no doubt, but it comes as a consequence, more than intent alone (Frontier was absolutely banking on other titles as a priority, it pulled a lot of resources over to them).
Or as the final reward in this year's christmas puzzle.
