Cobra Mk V and more...

Streamers are playing with it?

Is that with E drives or A drives? Any engineering?

Looks good though.
Its boosts over 620... And yes i guess he put some engineering in it
But how!?

Cobra Mk4 should get same speed then or trusters update from 4 to 5

Superior Faulcon DeLacy engineering. Seriously though, I’ve been trying to reserve judgement but I’m having a hard time seeing how it plays with the same rules of existing ships. Perhaps marketability has more to do with the design logic than congruity.

My super engineered Cobra Mk4 max boost is 420-430 and cruising speed somewhere in 250-270. He just flies on 450+

They've said repeatedly that these new SCO ships have been redesigned, in some way, to handle the SCO better. Entirely reasonable to expect that has other changes too.
My question would be, are the now 4 SCO ships consistent in relative stats with each other?

If the answer to that is, yes, is there a common factor compared to the old ships stats, like a flat 1.5 multiplier to one stat or whatever, which makes up that difference that we can say is the SCO "secret sauce"?

I'll be honest, this thing needs to have bonkers stats if they want to entice people to part with money for it. If it's not faster than a Phantom there is exactly zero reasons to have it.

My cheeks will not leave the divots they have worn into the Phantom's seat for a small pad ship with less speed and less internals. Because why would I? There is nothing I need a small ship for that I couldn't do with a medium (which cannot be said for medium/large).

They are going to have to pull an Anaconda Hull out of their hat with this thing if they want people to spend money on it.

Nah - looking at Coriolis, the relation between mass and speed was loose to start with, even with the old ships. Of the small ships with size 3 Thrusters, the Adder is the lightest and slowest, the Viper the heaviest and fastest. So I'd suppose the CMV inherited some Viper genes (as suspected frrom the pictures).

Okay.. but why Cobra Mark IV so slow then? Over the Mk III.
If you put everything out and make ship light as possible it is still will be slower

Cobra Mark IV should get buff

The Cobra V is probably meant to make people forget that the IV even exists and to silence the MK IV owners that were sad that it wasn't better than the MK III. Now the MK V is the Frankenstein that leaves the MK III in the dust while simultaneously offering more firepower and cargo than the MK IV. Yet new players still get the MK IV shown in the Odyssey on foot training.
