Colonia Ferry Service

Theres no point in going to Colonia if you arent exploring. Why waste developers time on making a ferry service just cause a few people are too lazy to travel there themselves.

Travelling and exploring are two very different things and both are very much part of the game. You don't really know what i would do once i reach Colonia but going there from the bubble is simply going to point a to b with a few stops and that's not really exploring. And its not "hard mode" or any other "mode" for that matter.

Accessibility is no good for Colonia. People go and live in there because it’s isolated. They don’t want bubble peasants messing around. They have their own engineers, politics; less modules creating a different life style. I hope they get their own unique economy in the future as well. Your idea would destroy Colonia’s character.

I guess I can understand this. I get that Colonial has that New world thing going on but sooner or later it's going to integrate somehow. The region has seen a lot of development.

I don’t know, I watched a video of DB telling that how much he liked that people making their own way in Colonia and developing it. I think FDev also like it this way.

Development that's only necessary because you can't conveniently travel between the two, though.

If you could conveniently travel back and forth, it wouldn't need its own shipyards, outfitting, engineers, etc. in the same way that the fringes of the bubble don't ... or things like the Pleiades and California Nebula mostly don't.

The direction of Colonia has been in reducing its dependency on the bubble, rather than closer integration.
