Colonisation Answers

Is 5pm a peak time? Mid-day in EST... could get much busier at the weekend or after work hours.
After the update I didn't have any problem jumping, this seems new. Presumably there's a limit something over an hour for jump waiting time, as earlier today it was just over an hour.

Hopefully they're recording all the faults exposed in the Beta.

The peak time per Steam data is 2000 UTC, very consistently, even across weekdays and weekends. You can see what happened on Thursday pretty clearly too. :)

This carrier thing is frustrating......
And I would like a short cut to the list of mats I need....to many clicks...

Is there a video tutorial that explains the types of installations and what each one benefits? and also those of odyssey

The problem is, nobody knows what those benefits mean. If I told you Facility X gave you two levels of Development, while Facility Y gave you two levels of Technology... or that Tech Z gives you 2 levels of Wealth.... nobody knows what those "two levels" translate to.

There's a thread here trying to work that out though.

. Who is booking FC jump slots if it constantly says none are available?

I've jumped FC 3 times in the last 24 hours, just had to be persistent with retrying until it jumped after 20 or so fails. I read on a discord that the best time to try is at exact multiples of 5:00 past the hour, but no idea if that's true.

But if FC jump failure complaints really are the answer, I'm pretty curious what the question was!

I finished bringing materials to create a "planetary construction site" but when I finished it was like this, when will it be completed? (all the materials are already there) I finished it more than 3 hours ago... am I bugged? or do I have to wait a week?

EDDN-recorded hyperspace jumps in the bubble yesterday (which are a rough proxy for "activity by the sort of person who might also own a carrier") were at their highest level ever on Friday (yes, even after correcting for the bubble having suddenly - if provisionally - expanded by almost 50%)

There probably won't be much of a "non-peak" time for a few days when it comes to carrier movements.

I also imagine that the FC sales are up a bit.

I tried timing it at a second or two past an exact multiple of 5 past the hour and it worked first time. Shh! Don't tell anyone or they'll all do it!

Probably a coincidence, I guess.

At what stage do you name things like outposts, or even the system colonisation ship? (Can you give that a name? Buur Pit's video had what looked like a customised megaship or station with a unique name but I don't know exactly what kind of facility it was).

You can but custom names with ARX.
