Asteroid base completed! Really nice as place is really "under construction still" :)

But I'm struggling to find a way how you develop the station further? There is only taxi-service currently. Any tips?
We (CI) think it'll probably come fully online after Thursday's server maintenance, mostly because it didn't come online after the BGS tick and Thursday is the next logical time for it to happen. All we really know is that it takes longer than a day.

The refinery thing I talk about is a ground installation.
You can only build certain things with construction points. So have to make certain things before others. You have to go to the ground level under 2k and then activate the SC-Suite. From there you get to choose what you want to build in the immediate area you are floating in.
You've been able to build surface refineries? I've not been able to build anything with the refinery economy.

It was stated by Frontier that once a station finishes construction it properly comes online on the Thursday following its completion. So Thursday maintenance is right.

That's what I remember, too, but I visited a just-built- outpost in a newly (either last night or today, UTC) colonized system and it was fully functional, and I was able to visit the Colonization contact and claim a further system.

Did you look to see if Pioneer, barkeep, etc., were up and running? The one I saw completed on a stream had contacts, no misions, and the only odyssey counter was staffed by a lonely looking Apex guy (other staff have to get there somehow I guess.)

On the livestream they indicated some but not all facilities would be enabled while the station was in the "under construction" phase.

No, sorry, I didn't. I just visited the Contacts menu and was glad I could claim a very good system from there.

I created a refinery and when it was completed, I visited it and it automatically began to attack me.... BUT how is my own construction going to attack me just for wanting to enter? ahahaha that's really bad.

It was not fully functional. I wager no mission board, universal cartographics, etc... and if you go on foot most of the stuff is "under construction". You can however claim another system right away

Well. I picked stuff from the menus and one said refining.

Which planet type? I think this is the important bit of information you didn't share. My guess it's a high metal content world? If it's a planetary site that is.

When do the factions "move in" to a newly colonized system? If I'm in a squadron now, but our squadron doesn't want to expand to the system I'm colonizing - Can I create a new squadron which in turn creates an entirely new faction? When does this occur? If I'm already 99% done building the first station and I start a new squadron will the new squadron be the one who becomes the 3rd faction or the original squadron I was part of when I made the claim?

That was my question earlier. Does it matter the type. That would make sense to me but I don't know the answer.
In this case it is on a rocky world. I am also wondering now if I am wasting my day building this because it will likely not have any docking pads when done. It is a refinery facility.

Explorer on Tour (the rando one the game picked for me) is already here. Four system authority ships appeared as soon as the outpost was finished. Then there is the one poor guy manning the apex desk in the not yet activated outpost.

I'm sorry if I'm annoying you with the questions, but what do you mean with "Facility"? Is it a big planetary port? An odyssey settlement? A small planetary port? A horizons settlement? I'd really like to build up a system with tons of surface refinery ports to buy cmm composites. And I'd appreciate some more specific answers

Nah, no worries. We should all share what we learn about this new system. I certainly don't know much of any of it.

When you place a ground structure it comes in three categories (I'm not at a planet now so I can't verify right now). Settlements, ports and facilities.

Facilities in space don't necessarily have a docking pad. I don't know if that is the same on the planet ones. It kind of looks like the layout of other familiar ground stations which did have at least one docking pad, so I hope it works out. I'll know a bit more after I finish delivering the last of the aluminum.

I meant the factions themselves - not the NPCs but for BGS stuff.
The first faction (The one that owns the station from which you first used the Colonization contact) appears immediately as you make the claim, or soon enough.

The third place faction will be the one that your squadron is currently pledged to. The other two factions, I don't entirely know. These appear after 1 day (I think after the BGS tick) Someone in our group completed his outpost rather quick and it spawned

1st place: Faction that owned the station where he colonized from (The one that appeared immediately)

2nd place: It was the 2nd place faction in influence in the system he colonized from

3rd place: Squadron PMF

4th place: Random anarchy from the original system too

2nd to 4th place appeared within a day

I apologize I don't think I'm being real clear what my question is; I'm wondering when is the squadron PMF determined? Is it determined when the claim is made or when the station is finished? What if a commander makes a claim, starts construction, then leaves the original squadron and starts a new one during the build process. Does anyone know what squadron faction is used?

No that is not known yet. I suppose one way to test it would be to start a claim while in a squadron pledged to faction A, leave the squadron, start another one pledged to faction B, and then finish it. See which one is inserted the next day.

But I don't think there is an answer to that right now. Doubt anyone has tested it that way
