Colonization - Incentive to help contribute to builds

Currently, everyone seems to be worried about their own builds because of the passive income reward given for it. This means most CMDRs are not incentivized to help with already ongoing efforts. I was wondering if the passive income reward could be split. Something like where the system Architect gets automatically 50% of the income of everything, and the other 50% goes to players based on material contribution to construction. If the Architect does all the work, they'll still get 100% of the income. But if they receive help, then some of that goes to those who helped accordingly. I think this would slightly reduce the rate at which people spam colonize and instead help with what's already going to be huge projects.

I seriously doubt the passive income is a driving factor for colonisation in any way, shape or form. It is way too low to be of any significance - which is a good thing in my book.

The incentive is the warm feeling in your heart that you helped someone out. And if said someone knows, he might pay you back someday. Favors can be more valuable than numbered currency.

Honest... it is for me. 5m a week seems achievable enough with a couple systems, which will make my FC free.

To be honest that is a surprise.

It would take 15 million a week to fund my FC, however seeing as I did Exobiology when I flew it out on an exploration trip it is unnecessary as my FC is funded for well over a decade.

IF the colonization offers a weekly payout sum then other players could help other players for a percentage share. You can use wellhead pooling calculations on interest ownerships to determine the individuals RTI of the payout based on their contribution. Obviously, more is better, but also anything turns into a side hustle gig for someone. Hypothetically, 2000 credits over 100 system, or more, can really tally up, and who knows, maybe helping over a 1000 would finance your own FC maintenance covered by this kickback.

As Helmut said above the passive income from colonisation is peanuts. If you split it up it will be little pieces of peanuts so even less incentive.
