Combat Loggers

Though I am not a pirate, I have been interdicted countless hundreds of times, never given in to a pirate (never will), however (that's my play style), I have never combat logged, If I somehow manage to get the advantage over my aggressor, I will go for the kill and I have lost count on the times when they have combat logged to save their own skins. It happens also in 1 on 1 combat interdiction's. I have lost so many ships it's embarrassing, but that's the risk you take and I enjoy it (well most of the time, don't enjoy losing a ship) from a combat side of things.
Still there will always be combat loggers, it's just a fact of playing ED.
I also too noticed the word had been changed, maybe the person/moderator could change it back again as it does not break any forum rules AND aptly describes the played out scenario.

its a swear word in the army, means soft and nice we don't do nice unless your in the Q.A.R.N.C then your a nurse and you have to be fluffy

Look, I get that loggers are bad at the game. Breaking the rules. This I am not disputing.
However, describing them as "filthy" on an internet forum IS an out-of-game insult.
This is just as unacceptable. Had the title been "Had enough of combat loggers" or similar, there would be no problem.
However, OP was wrong to use a derogatory term. If you have a problem, present your case in a calm, mature manner. Using insults, no matter how mild, does hurt your creditably.

I agree with the OP about loggers and them being annoying to us. (not going to comment on the filthy/fluffy dilemma). I record every logger I encounter and my faction is starting to submit some of them to xbox live as a form of cheating and let xbox live sort it out. It's honestly the best, and probably the most effective, thing you can do at this point. It sucks when you and your faction don't log and take deaths and have to face the rebuy screen while, in turn, the other guy will just log. I know it's my choice to take the death so please don't use that against my decision.

I am a serial killer in game. I have no problem with pirates, killers or bounty hunters. I have never combat logged and i have been logged on HUNDREDS of times. I think it is a blight on this game and i am totally with you guys.......right up until the point you start talking about reporting people to xbox.
In general, combat logging is a dishonorable act. But a lot these players are just trying to run from some A hole who is trying to bully them out of their stuff and/or destroy their hard work. (dont get me wrong, i am usually that A hole)
About the only thing more dishonorable(in the realm of ED) is going out of ones way to record and report them for what equates to running away
You already bullied them........they already ran with their tail between their legs......You won. So just send them a message insulting their honor and move on. Trying to get someones account in trouble with microsoft over this is just......(i dont have a word polite enough for the forums)
The report feature is for people who harass and threaten others. Cheating should only be reported when it is ACTUAL cheating (hacking, tampering, that sort of thing.) And i would wager ACTUAL cheating in ED is practically non existent.
What you people love to refer to as cheating, by microsofts definition, is NOT cheating.
Is it unsportsman like conduct? Maybe. Is it Leaving the game early? DEFINITELY. (both of these are options) but cheating (according to microsoft) it is most certainly NOT
Frontier "may" consider it cheating, but they REFUSE to enforce it within their own game and they have NO RIGHT to enforce it beyond. Meaning, outside of ED, frontier cant penalize someones xbox account. And since xbox doesnt consider "leaving early" cheating, you have no leg to stand on.
I guess my position on this subject is unique. I see both sides. While i feel combat logging is dishonorable and detrimental to the integrity of the game, i find reporting players for something like that despicable (especially considering the logger was minding their own business before YOU(or I) attacked them)

I agree that filthy isn't the worst... But some people will get influenced by it.
But in retrospect, anyone who gets offended by the title, is likely breaking the game's rules as it is.
Any act to avoid death, in game, is cheating according to Xbox. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with your opinion I'm just telling you the facts.

Except, I think the the OP was only letting their feelings be known about combat logging in general, I did not read anything in it relating to reporting them.
