commander name approval

Commander Amanda , Commander Bobander, and Commander Repremander, Commander Salamander... Commander Toostripoff.

Yup I have shown much restraint sir.... much restraint.. :D I get a lolly out the good boy jar!

I pick my hero of the Ancient world for my commander name. Vercingertorix Which united the tribes of the Gaul against Julius Caesar's in the Gallic Wars.

nonetheless, Caesar managed to beat them all - unsurprising perhaps as they were named Weeny, Weedy and Weaky.

Seeing as that book obviously made an impression, try this one:

The Eagle and the Raven by Pauline Gedge

It's about Caradoc, who you coud say is the British version of Vercingertorix. And the book is also historically based.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, my Great-Great Uncle's home in Suffolk was namd Caradoc... You can all rest easy now that it's been aired and given it's rightful recognition :)

ahh yea .. Commander Higgs is carved in stone .. finally, yippie !!

thanks for reminding me to check again :D

Initially, I was going for a personal name - I want any shame or glory that I earn to be linked to a unique name of my choosing. However, this morning I had a last-minute change of heart as the science fiction fan in me took over and I thought I'd give "Golan Trevize" a try.

Unbelievably, it was still available. Not many Asimov fans around here I guess.

Good for me!

Ahoy there me hearties! Yes, I went through using a personal name, but then I thought it didn't sound quite grand enough (Admiral Bob?), and then went through ones which were a bit too obscure. I ended up picking a name which I think will suit my style of play...yo ho!

just a reminder that if anyone would like a signature or their signature updated just click the banner below and put in a request.:D

Forgive me if its been asked before, but as I used my real name, which was accepted, for an NPC, is it possible that the NPC my name is chosen for might be a character I would rather not have been associated with?, a really ugly slave trader for instance?

Maybe. :p

FD have also said they may split your name up - so your surname might match to another NPC's first name.

Someone already claimed my real last name

So I took 'Van Doorn' which is now approved.

I didn't fill in an NPC name. I wanted to name it after a dear person but I would hate to see it being used for a terrorist NPC.
