Almost all ships sold are used as are most modules, the "repair" option reconditions them to "almost new" condition so in the Elite universe there's no effective difference between new & used.

Humph, I've not got over the 10 second culture, to find it has already got to be the 10uSecond culture - I WANT IT ALL AND I WANT IT ! NOW !.Fair point!
Personally I'd like to see ships being ferried around by transporters. I'd like to book my Python to be transported from A->B and have to wait 20mins for it to arrive... and if I were to wait outside, see the transporter arrive, my ship leave it, and go into the station - It would add depth and variety
That said, your suggestion is obviously infinitely simpler and more immediate! I want my Python here instead of there? Press a couple of buttons and (somehow) here it is. I could live with that! But I'd miss those transport ships

Too bad. But I guess many will not agree with the acceleration of the game processes.
First instantaneous transfer of ships, next "sudden destruction" weapons (one shot - one kill), and finally instant teleportation to anywhere in the galaxy in five seconds (Pepelats with Gravitsapa).
Meanwhile, it will be not the "Elite Dangerous".
If speed up the process, then lost the atmosphere of presence in the huge universe, a feeling that you're not the protagonist of the novel, but one of the many vagrants of the galaxy.
Hi I have a suggestion for how to improve the cqc experience.
I think there should be a chat window in the cqc menu and game lobby so you are abel to contact friends you might want to play with. You can obviously invite them but you cant ask them if they want to join without going to the main menu. And even if you do go to the main menu then they might not see it if they are in the cqc menu or a lobby. This makes it unessecerily frustrating to group up with people you know ingame. If the chat was visible in the menu and the lobby it would be easy to get an answer about if the person vanted to play or not. I can see a reason for not having a lobby chat would be that some might be frustrated or flaming after a loss. But should not be impossible to have the caht so you atleast can contact your friends or see private messages?
At the very least I belive there sould be a wing chat at all places within cqc and a proper chat in cqc menu. Maybe someone else wants to join the fun and you are not the leader but between games you cant tell you wing partner. That would mean you would have to go out to the main menu to explaine the situation, he might think you just werent intressted in playing more and either quit for the day or miss your messeage and start another game.
