Greetings Commanders!

We've been incredibly impressed with the amount you've contributed to the CG's that launched yesterday already, so much so that you had almost completed one of them by the time I logged in to work this morning! With that in mind, the team have discussed our options and have decided to add very high extension tiers to the CG's in order to give players a chance to engage with the content over the intended period.

We will of course still count your early efforts in terms of the overall success of the CG, we won't be taking that win away from you. It's been a fantastic combined effort from every Commander involved!

Seems safe to say that splatting Thargoids is a favourite activity. Could we hope for this being a bit more widespread around the bubble later on sometime?
 
I 100% understand why this had to be done due to the advertised 2 week length and the CGs being superpower aligned even if they're not directly competitive and having Salvation use their superweapon against the single thargoid still left alive in the system would be anticlimactic.

but also...

Having/letting an oopsie like this actually go through would be more exciting on a meta level because something actually unpredictable can now happen and it's due to player agency.

While I was poking around, it came up that some groups that Don't support salvation are avoiding the CG and turning in bonds as-normal in-system... Does this still have a conventional effect, or is everything going through the CG for these systems?
 
Perhaps it is a good idea in general too add extension tiers for CGs so they are guaranteed to last for the entire week. This would allow players that can't play during prime times to participate and get rewards instead of realising that a CG has already ended after a few days.

Me too. I was going to finish the Fed CG in the top 75%, but no way that'll happen now. I just don't have the endurance to shoot scouts for weeks. When I said I wanted more combat CGs, I was talking about traditional human-on-human combat / bounty hunting. AX just doesn't scratch the same itch for me.

BUT DON'T GET ME WRONG - I'm happy for everyone who has been waiting for this content! All I ask for in the future is that the one lone hauling CG have an accompanying "protect the traders" bounty hunting CG like the good old days. Two by two keeps duck from turning blue :D

Or just pitch them correctly in the first place, it's not like it's the first go at making CG or anything.
