What ever happened to this? This produced some awesome paintjobs (Medusa for the Cobra as a great example) for everyone. Looking at the latest CG Award, its an EXACT copy of the last CG Award just different colors. Let the community design the paintjobs and let the Art department worry about Planet textures.
This would be a great way to get some original and non-copy and paste paintjobs for our Ships.

That is honestly too bad. Some of the designs were incredible and still around today. Oh well, would be nice if they were to resurrect the idea. From what I have seen of the Community over the past 7 years is that good ideas are always around.
