I play EDO on PC.
It is a red herring to suggest that the backlash against EDO is primarily drawn from it's console cancellation.
EDO lack of approval is much more about quality, gameplay mechanics, lack of integration with the base game, and release state.
The console cancellation anger is drawn more from an understanding that the developer commitment to the game at large is in decline.
Folks like the game, and are disappointed it's waning. Don't take the anger is misguided or unjustified, or selfish because people don't want to pony up$ for a PC.
The console anger is a positive declaration about how much the base game is loved. Celebrate that rather than denigrate the players that express their frustrations.
