Concern about marine animals - please be careful

Like GTA or like Planet Zoo?

Even though there are many games "like this". GTA would be the worst possible example as it compares relatively bad to Zoo games.
(Like no comparison at all.)

What i want to say, in a game like GTA, when there are , drugs,(sorry) sexual things, these are seen as normal, is it wrong to have orca in planet zoo? I wanted to say.
I didn't compare.

GTA and Planet Zoo are nothing alike. GTA is a video game in a completely different genre.

The question about whether marine animals should be included in Planet Zoo does not compare with the question whether violence, use of weapons, drugs and 18+ content should be allowed in a game. It is a different topic.

Perhaps if marine mammals are added in a separate pack, it could also include a new coastal island map that has enough ocean space for a sizeable sea pen (or multiple)? The sea pen could act as a sanctuary for the conservation and potential release of the animals. Not sure if anything like that would be within the scope for Planet Zoo, but it's a thought! The idea of keeping whales and dolphins in small, confined tanks is a bit dreary.

Then maybe there would be enough space on the island itself for a few other animal enclosures, for a more typical zoo experience. With the bonus of being able to view the marine mammals from a respectful distance. 🐬

I also really love @WingardiumLevicoaster's suggestion for an educational story being attached to their rehabilitation! ♥

We're not saying that we will put whales in small and indoor pools anyway. I want to have Orca shows (I don't think about real life) and if the whales are well tuned in the game, there's no trouble. Just like zoo tycoon 2. I think everybody's free in this game. If you want, you can open a shelter at the seaside or provide enough space and show with whales. :)

I think one thing to take into consideration is that Zoo Tycoon 2 was released in 2004 when there was not as much concern for these animals. Since the early 2010s, the interest in caring for marine mammals and giving them the most healthy and natural lives possible has been growing immensely. I do understand that at the end of the day, it's just a game, but like Zoo Tycoon 2, it can also be an educational experience to some extent. (y)

I don't think anyone in this game will be a billionaire and put whales in tiny tanks. :)

If I were to put orca in this game, I certainly wouldn't put it in such a tank.

I would put it in a place like this

Like I said, can whale show in this game who wants. should also be able to make a whale shelter. I think the frontier will be fair and I believe it will make both choices. :)

I know a lot of people want whales and dolphins in the game - However - I think it's important that you take this chance to spread some much needed awareness of how much these animals are abused in zoos all over the world. I definitely think you could include these animals as rehabilitation exclusives, meaning you can only have them during campaigns/quests where you get an injured animal and send them back as soon as they're healthy. If you're not going to do this, and are just going to include them as normal animals, please at least make it impossible to make them very happy due to space needs, so players will at least get the message from complaining guests :)

It's a game, doesn't have to be ultra realistic. It was awesome to have whales, dolphins, orcas and so on in ZT2. Would be nice to be given the freedom to have all kinds of aquatics along with the other animals. Even extinct ones :)

I want all the endangered animals and animals that shouldn't/can't be kept in a zoo to be in this game and see it as beneficial. Plus "limitless creativity".
Since you shouldn't see them in parks/zoos, and you usually can't see them in real life, wouldn't it be great if we got to see them in a virtual zoo that does no harm whatsoever? We've discussed this topic before, I wrote more arguments there, too lazy to repeat myself.
