Content Starvation

I just thought it was particularly funny in part because I've had the game crash a number of times somewhat recently (maybe a couple weeks ago, or something) when viewing the galaxy map without the ADS.

You know, six of one, a half dozen of the other. Might as well. 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure why, but it seems to have sorted itself out for the time being at least.

Cheers.

Can you image the uproar if the exploration mechanics were reversed. As in the FSS was originally in the game and then suddenly was taken out and replaced by the ADS. People would complain it is too easy - one honk reveals all, how are they going to find all the USS's, they need the FSS screen to get an accurate view of the orbital planes so they can decide whether to investigate or not, the low res images in the system map don't accurately show the planets, they don't want to 'guess' if that planet is an ELW or an Icy Body.

But it is all a moot point as we know whatever FD do will be met with angst by some here.
Not read a ADS vs FSS post in while.

The FSS is a 'Marmite' feature, not the only one in the game, but one of the biggest.

I didn't like it when it was first explained - like someone saying to you what 'Marmite' was - Yuck! that sounds :poop:

Now I've 'tasted' it it's actually fine & easier to use FOR ME!

Since I am Australian, I will substitute Marmite for Vegemite (a far superior spread anyway lol). Yes these spreads are quiet diversive, you either like them or you hate them, no middle ground.

Funny story: During my military career I spend three years at a USAF base. Decided to educate the locals and bought in a jar of vegemite. Experiment ended in tears though when one of my USAF counterparts spread it on like peanut butter (very thick like 1/3" thick). I exited the room before he took a bite lol

Love it!.........the story, not the 'Marmite/Vegemite'

No. You asked for bug fixes instead of content. Stop changing your mind.
At least the forums are consistent and predictable...

FD: fleet carriers are coming end of 2019...
Forums: noooo, give us bugfixes! And beta!
FD: releases bugged patch...
Forums: bugfixes first! We told you!
FD: we reconsidered and delay fleet carriers for bugfixes...
Forums: Give! Us! Content! Now!

And the really sad thing is that it is often the same people saying it at each step :(

Totally off-topic: One of my Australian friends brought a jar of Vegemite with her on a visit a few years back (she knows I love Marmite!)...
Shall we say... it wasn't what I expected, I certainly prefer Marmite... (not that Vegemite was bad, just different!)

Yeah it is definitely an acquired taste but then I have grown up with it so for me it is normal. My ex-wife is Scottish and couldn't stand vegemite, use to run the knife under boiling water to 'sterilise' it after I used it with Vegemite. Hmm could be one of the reasons why she is an ex …. ;)
