Sure I bet it's annoying for those affected, but it's not setting the internet on fire quite yet

My Steam account works just fine, but from Oculus I cant get passed the shader prep screen unless I delete that file. When I delete that file the Oculus account works perfectly.Edit: Thought I'd log in to test stability - can't actually play, no time - just leaving game running while docked at a station. No issue so far (10 minutes) but, despite being in Solo, I'm having constant network activity, more than would be usual unless other players were perhaps around. Seeing such network activity while sat in a station, in Solo, is odd, right?

They acknowledged an issue, if it was wide spread this thread would be way bigger.Significant enough that they posted on twitter about it.
Number of likes : 58Significant enough that they posted on twitter about it.
They are the type not to answer unless they have an answer to give, so the logical conclusion is they don't have a fix yet and don't know when there might be one.Any updates on this? You would think that with such a major and wide spread issue there would be some regular updates.
OK so I have just spent 2 hours checking this "work around" and can confirm.
Deleting the file fsave_optionsXXX in %APPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options lets the game run with no problems - BUT:
then exiting and starting again produces the CTD crash within minutes of starting the game.
So - workaround of deleting that file EVERY TIME you want to start the game, allows the game to run normally.
What on earth causes this as a result of server maintenance yesterday? ¯\(ツ)/¯
BTW - I believe @sallymorganmoore has already passed on this information to the devs.
What's that file content?
In case this can help others, here's the workaround that worked for me.
If you'd taken the time to actually go read the reddit thread, you'd have seen that it's different from your workaround proposition, hence mine. Deleting the file didn't change anything for me, nor for many others (again, read the reddit thread).
