Coriolis.io - A new ship builder and comparison tool

This is already a feature. Just click on the module and it gets "greyed out" while the power draw is updated below for the modules you turn off. It may not be immediately apparent that you can click the moduels esp. if you come from using ED Shipyard where each module has an obvious checkbox.

Hmm, I'll try on Windows tomorrow, but it doesn't work on Mac. When I click on a module, it just expands the box when I can select the item type and/or class, but I can't find a way to disable the modules.

Edit: ah, got it! You have to clic on the items in the list, of course. Thank you!

You're clicking the wrong thing. I'm talking about the itemized list at the bottom left corner of the interface that sums up your configuration and power use.

EDIT: LOL, you Ninja'd me with your edit :D

Suggestion:

On the load out list at the bottom left corner of the interface you can click the modules on/off ts see how the power requirements change. However, this is not intuitive for many people esp when coming form ED Shipyard where there were obvious check boxes next to the comparable list.

I also thought that this feature was not included when I first started using Coriolis, until I accidentally clicked over a module. Maybe something could be incorporated to make this more evident?

BTW, I have never gone back to ED Shipyard since I found Coriolis. Absolutely LOVE IT as I've already said many times. Thanks Again!! :)

Sure, there you go:

If the shortened version should not be enough for whatever reason, here's the long one as well:
Edit: By the way, I tried using IE to make sure it's not FF messing up. Found the same problem, list is not scrolling. It also gets clipped weirdly:

Thanks for the details!

I outsmarted myself by using HTML5 columns, which appear to be more trouble than they are worth. Will fix and release soon!

Comparison facets are draggable

Do people know that the facets (data to compare - armour, shields, fuel, etc) in the Compare options bar are draggable (left-right)?

You can change the order of what is being compared (armour first, then mass, then something else of your choice).

Not received any feedback on this (obviously there are no callouts for dragging yet...).

OMG That's Awesome! I did not even know. That helps when you're after certain stats and want them prioritized with less important stuff to the right. Thank You!

I suggest maybe a small "note" or something stating that modules can be clicked on/off to view adjusted power config as well as that these items are "draggable". Man I love Coriolis!!! Why would anyone want to go back to to EDSY.. That's like me pulling out my old Dot Matrix and getting rid of my color laser LOL.

Your Waffle IO shows that mobile layout implementation is done. When can we expect to see this in the live version?

Diamondback Explorer only has 1 Class 4 internal compartment.

I built one yesterday morning in the tool and when I actually bought it and finished outfitting it was puzzled as to why I was "missing" 16 tons of cargo space.

Could you add the beta backers insurance cost as well please.

Are you certain? (Screen shot would be helpful!)

All sources I've found say 2 x Class 4, 2 x Class 3, 1 x Class 1.

Beta and Alpha insurance can be set in the settings menu (The cogs in the top right). This is saved in your browser so you only have to do it once (per browser...)

I'm testing your new version on different phones. Really nice work there. However, for example on an iPhone 6 Plus the screen almost feels like wasted, although I understand the challenges of adapting the layout to mobile. Would it be possible to make the interface slightly smaller on these devices? The font and component cells (height not width) are too big, and we would actually be able see more information if all those elements were somewhat smaller.

Anyways, right on commander. Coriolis is evolving!

This can be tweaked! A lot of fine tuning is going to happen over time with the responsive design.

The power management tool is awesome! An important thing is missing, but very easy to implement: we must also know power consumption of just the active (ON) modules, the ones in the yellow part of the bar, so that we can tweak and optimize power usage without having to turn off the non relevant modules, as we did before the update. Right now we can only see the overall value (ON+OFF) that is not so important.

I really like the new update but it has a problem showing all of the components in the lower left corner, preventing me from setting the power configuration. In the image below, the Components pane doesn't show the Advanced Scanner.
.
Correction: As someone pointed out, Advanced Scanner requires no power. In that case, I'm quite impressed with this new version. It is exactly what I was asking for - the ability to test the power configuration for power-deprived ships like the Vulture.

The Advanced Scanner does not consume power, therefore it is not on the list!

Yes, in the next release the bands/bars will be selectable, showing the total for the selected bars only.
