Corroded paint jobs

What people call corrosion is actually oxidized paint that flaked off due to radiation, not dissimilar to house paint that gradually flakes off over time due to UV radiation. None of the ships in the game show corrosion (i.e. rusted or pitted metal). Since we're not able to bring EDH ships into atmosphere, it isn't realistic for the ships to corrode. After all, there is no moisture in the vacuum of space. Corrosion due to flying ships through atmospheric moisture would be a nice addition to EDO.
Personally, I kind of wish that the "corroded" paint jobs, that come with the Raider ship-kits, were available separately.
Actually, that's not entirely true.
The current "corroded" paint jobs just look a bit brown and splodgy.
It'd be nice if they were far more detailed, with different coloured hull-plates and visible rivets, wiring and other greebles.
Normally I see a worn paint job as a "badge of honor" but there are some cases (such as whenever I fly an Annie) where I feel like the ship should look like an old junker all the time.
