That reactive surface composite is more than twice the cost of the hull. That'd do it.Did you order one out of pure gold? My Corsair cost half of that, and I'd argue is better equipped with defences.

yeah.. reactive armor is a waste of credits if you ask me.That reactive surface composite is more than twice the cost of the hull. That'd do it.
It's standard on all of my combat ships, and I've also put it onto the Corsair. Engineer it heavy duty and combine it with a size 1 thermal resist hull reinforcement, and you get the best armor you can have.yeah.. reactive armor is a waste of credits if you ask me.
Try putting it on a Corvette. I'm still not over the sticker shock lol.yeah.. reactive armor is a waste of credits if you ask me.
I have a Cutter with reactive composite armor and class 8 Prismatics. That was a cool 1.1 billion credit expenseTry putting it on a Corvette. I'm still not over the sticker shock lol.
If you haven't tried it yet, ShinDez is guaranteed to have it.Are there no bulkheads for the Corsair? Bought one at ray gateway and usually you can always find bulkheads for the ship you buy at the station you buy it but there doesn’t seem to be any. Looked at EDSM to find a station that sells them but it doesn’t even seem to be an option when filtering for the outfitting being sold.

This. And yes, the availability is not great right now.If you're pledge to a power, their stronghold FCs usually stock them.
Armor and HRP.What are bulkheads?

Got mine the same place I bought the ship, one of my power's stronghold carriers. Are there no bulkheads for the Corsair? Specifically they are the first module in the Core Modules, they determine the amount and nature of strengthening built into your ships fuselage, good bulkheads frequently cost 150% or more of the value of the ship. For a combat ship this choice determines the way Hull Reinforcements strategy is applied. What are bulkheads?
Sitting in the cockpit immediately prompts a Courier comparison, but it obviously doesn't have the handling. That said turning FA off reveals a somewhat different side to the thing...Note that the Corsair turns like if was swimming in molasses, compared to the Cobra5. But oh well, good enough I suppose.
If you try to turn in this ship, you're using it wrong. Use the lateral/vertical thrusters for moving. The Corsair responds to that better than any other ship.Sitting in the cockpit immediately prompts a Courier comparison, but it obviously doesn't have the handling. Never learned to fly with FA off. Maybe I should try learning...Sitting in the cockpit immediately prompts a Courier comparison, but it obviously doesn't have the handling. That said turning FA off reveals a somewhat different side to the thing...
