I am surprised no one mentions the performance in SC or SCO. It's bad, really bad, it's too bad it isn't better since I made an explorer version that can do 80lys jump range, it would be nice to see something out there in the black besides Mandy's.
Indeed, not really complaining just surprised it's not mentioned, I will still try it for some exploration. It’s not as good as the Mandalay, there’s a surprise! It’s still better than the old ships in SCO.
those are some strong words. whats so bad about it? ive been traveling hundreds of ls with it, no wobble, low fuel cunsumption even on A rated, no heat (armoured thermal powerplant). have you tried doing sco in a corvette? if corsair is so bad bad bad, how would you describe vette in sco? It's bad, really bad, it's too bad
Depends what you consider "basic"...Midnight Black has never been one of the basic colour schemes, it was a premium scheme brought out only once or twice per year.
Back in the good old days.

Mandy is better for me when I need to be all over the place. It's range and capability for that rage are great.Yeah, overall, it's a combat trader, but lacks the punch of the Python 2... It's a good balance. But as an overall mission runner, the Mandy is my favorite.
I think this is what I'm aiming for, still working in load outs... Part of the fun.Mandy is better for me when I need to be all over the place. It's range and capability for that rage are great.
I like the Corsair as a more local-region multi-role. I can do a whole range of PP activity and ferry back an opportunistic load of cargo that's worth the time.
Just please fix the mass lock. Being held down by a DBX feels bad.
The basic ones had names like Vibrant, or Tactical, or Military and came in a range of colours* for most if not all ships at all times and at reasonable prices.Depends what you consider "basic"...
I meant that painting a ship in a full uniform even coat of black must not be that difficult to achieve compared the other more complex multicore with pattern ones.
Also happened to be one of the only paint jobs "useful" at concealing your ship against the black void background (I know, I know, night vision...)
I put FA off on Hold not toggle, then start turn, Hold FA Off and the nose snaps round. You can also help by using the over-powered vertical thrust to pull your target into view quicker, or you push yourself out of their firing line while you still are getting on target.its a turd ,Im a relatively new player and i must admit i am a terrible gamer and i havent engineered it yet but just tried it after buying it today at a comp nav beacon and trying to get the nose round and pointed at a moving target like a imperial eagle is virtually impossible i reckon i would have better luck with my type 8 , it was ok against less moble ships like mk1 python but going on my initial impressions that was money down the drain and i will stick with my cobra mkv as my daily driver. Obvs its not gonna be as nimble as that but i wasnt expecting it to be that bad.

Tell me you can't aim with fixed weapons without telling me you can't aim with fixed weapons.Having all hardpoints on the fuselage makes it incredibly difficult to get all hardpoints firing at the same time. The enemy ship only has to be slightly off centre for at least 2 of your hardpoints to be obscured.
Probly badly with random mods. I aint seen it, but feel free to post bulid you use and I will take look at it. Others around might wanna take look at it as well.Fully G5 Engineered.
Skill issue. Try mastering FAOFF, then try again.Ship handles like a baby Anaconda.
Courier cockpit was never fun, I agree here. Its among worst ones, but big ships have worse "view"Beak obscures a third of the cockpit view.
Skill issue again (2x). Try fixed such as PA's or Rails... Might change your entire worldview, but lenghty process required to master it (if talended enough, it will be faster - but hard work aka ton of practice works too)Having all hardpoints on the fuselage makes it incredibly difficult to get all hardpoints firing at the same time. The enemy ship only has to be slightly off centre for at least 2 of your hardpoints to be obscured. The lack of manoeuvrability only compounds this issue.
Agreed. Beak on nose annoying. But who cares? Use collector limpets if cant bear it, its have all that internal room for that.Nightmare to cargo scoop. Mats just get batted away half the time.
The good bits are the aesthetics, sounds, boost speed, sco and power distributor. However these good points don't outweigh the bad. Its a case of form over function.
Ultimately its not easy or fun to fly.
So does it compete with P2 and FdL in your opinion?Probly badly with random mods. I aint seen it, but feel free to post bulid you use and I will take look at it. Others around might wanna take look at it as well.

I have blast with it in PVP, and its currently one of most lethal 1v1 ships in game in my opinion, and its very, very good with fixed weapons... and of course that sweet ram dmg, makes up for dmg potential vs other top combat ships.
I suppose it do requires advanced flying, Good FAOFF mastery, and of course, years of worth of experience flying combat ships of all sizes, to truly make most of it.
All I can say, its simple : Git gud.
(No pun intended)
