COULD I GET MY TYPE 10 BACK?!

100Mcr Bounty.

Sounds like you played the bad guy, or you would not have such a high bounty on your head.

Now, when someone claims the bounty on your head, without a proper rebuy and enough to pay your own bounty, you complain and want your ship back.

I have no sympathy for you. That's what bounty hunters and security forces do. Take out guys like you.
Now if only a proper bounty hunter could lay his hands one those sweet 100 million...

Alas, we are stuck with 2 miilion max

Lt's be honest, the insurance concept is wierd as any normal person would assume you get the cost of your ship minus the rebuy and any fines. Also no normal person reads the manual.

OP, sorry, this has come up many many times in the last 6 years and FD either think their wierd illogical system makes sense, or more likely have stuck to it for so long they can't go back now. You won't get anything back.

FD think you will start again because ED is that cool, I would suggest FD have just given you a very good opportunity to cut your losses and find another game, you now have nothing, so quit now and you lose nothing.

The insurance scheme in Elite is simple. Any occurence that results in a total loss is covered with no exclusions. The policy pays replacement cost with a 5% deductible.

Much simpler than real life.

If i knew i wouldn't be able to get my ship back like this, i wouldn't have done such thing in the first place :(

You may find that FD are sympathetic for a first time, so it might be worth raising a support ticket to see if they'll help (though don't be surprised if they don't, given the context).

I do find it odd that you managed to get a fully upgraded T10 and still not understand the bounty/notoriety system. It's definitely your fault. ;)

What is this, a miserable old git convention. Frontier could give him his ship back or they might not, and in both scenarios, A: you'd be none the wiser about it, and B: it would'nt affect you in any meaningful way, since ED is about as much a real MMO as Darksouls is. You've got to have a bitter mode of thought to take satisfaction from knowing someone else didn't get a helping hand.

Here's a few more gits for the thread, they'll be right at home here.

It has been a long time since we've seen one of these

A rage quit has to be just around the corner

So i went in a system where i was wanted and had +100M credit bounty on my head, so i decided to fight more with my fully-upgraded type 10, i ended up fighting +12 security services at once, i had 61M credits and my ship rebuy was around 30M credits, but then my ship got destroyed after a tough battle, and since i had a lot of bounties on my head, i did not have enough credits to rebuy my type 10 so i was forced to buy sidewinder, is there anyway Frontier would give my ship back? :)
I can't see why not, if you get no joy at the contacts try

Buck up, butter cup. Tough lessons are part of the appeal!

If the option is available to the OP, then for the sake of fairness the option must be available to me. I don't want to have that option, therefore the OP shouldn't have it either.

Well, If you run up a 100Mcr. bounty and Frontier support reimburses you because you complain with a support ticket, then what's the point of crime and punishment, ship rebuys or bounties in the first place.

I very much doubt if FD would do anything for second and subsequent occurrences. But this is just a game, you know. ;)

Fair is fair. If I racked up 100 million in bounties killing players then got waxed, would it be right for me to ask FDEV for it back?

Honest, your honor! I totally didn't know about rebuy and bounties!

I wouldn't ask either. But fair is that we both have the option to, even if we don't take it. :) And no-one can say what FD will do anyway (unless someone comes back to report it). They may also say no due to the circumstances (or any other reason - it would be at their discretion after all).
