I just tried to get into any of the three gamemodes, and again, no Luck! Maybe I'll try again later tonight, I feel banned from CQC, feeling a lil bit frustrated now, to be honest good Luck everybody! Hope you'll get some better results, it's fun, when you are finally in, believe me!

Can you check main game for Hazardous RES and Compromised NAVs ?:D

Yeah, it doesn't seems to be a stress for now. :)
Regarding log, I got 5 players matchmade together for Deatmatch, but the match still doesn't started and I am alone in the lobby. At least I will collect the logs...

I noticed also that from beta 4 to 5 AppConfigLocal.xml with my custom network settings in it was delete by the upgrade process.

Always been confused by this.

My router has UPNP and extended NPNP on. I have been matched in CQC though sometimes it takes a while.

If it's set to ON in the AppConfigLocal.xml and I turn it off in the router does that mean activating the game will turn it on again just for ED or for everything?

Is there any need for me to do anything with this?

What's the old saying... a watched pot never boils?

The 21st Century version: "A watched download never completes"

Arrrrgghhh....

If you turn off UPNP on the router the game will not be able to set up port forwarding automatically via UPNP and you will have to manually configure it on the router and in AppConfig[Local].xml via Port and RouterPort attributes on the Network element.

If you are happy with UPNP then you don't need to worry about messing with manual port forwarding.

You should however add* the verbose network logging settings (see the header of the CQC bug reporting subforum) for the duration of the Stress Test so that when you have a bug to report you have the complete logs at hand.

*and re-add them when the Stress Test is upgraded.

It sounds complicated but setting up port forwarding is easy when you know how.. I'll write a little guide when I get a moment.

Thanks.

I'm okay with faffing around with settings and port forwarding - I just wondered if there is any benefit to turning it off given that I am getting matched and generally see players in open.

Well upnp is flawed security wise and from that pov is not something I'd not recommend in all honesty. I suppose if your happy with that and getting games perhaps no reason to change. However, given some of the connectivity issues the game has it might be worth trying nevertheless ;)

I've wondered that as well and I'm getting matched (even if it's not as fast as I'd like), so I've left my settings alone.

Thanks. I'll take it under advisement.

My install keeps crashing out with either:
Failed to read from response stream. Network connection closed
or
Update failed for file "C:program Files (x86)\Steam\seamapps\common\Elite Dangerous\products\PUBLIC_TEST_SERVER .... various file names after that ... (validation error)
Is it just busy with everyone else downloading ?
