Credits, Fun & Progression.

As the titles reads. "Credits, Fun & Progression", these three things seem to be, according to a multitude of forums posts, what the player base is torn upon.

Bug reports have have been made about the most recent skimmer mission farming method. People have made appeals to FDev to even have these missions removed once more, or even have the credit payouts reduced.

Some people, have even made requests that are not as extreme as others.

I want to get to the heart of the issue, so please, what is the problem now? Really.

I'm going to start by giving my opinion on the situation.

To the people who are currently complaining about the current skimmer farm method.
CMDR's having the ability to progress through this game at the rate that they are currently, is not a serious issue. The amount of credits that could allegedly be made with the current controversial method, is not a serious issue. I don't care how long you've been playing this game, what ships you own, how much money you have made, how quickly YOU CHOSE to progress. That doesn't give you the power to dictate to me or anyone else how quickly I or anyone else should be able to progress and make money in this game. Period. I don't care if you're a "Vet" that means nothing to me, your "Veteran" status didn't buy me this game, nor did it buy the game for anyone else in this community.

As we would say in FFXIV ARR/HW/SB "You don't pay my subscription."- Said Every Reasonable FF XIV Player Ever.

With that being said, why do you feel as if you have the right to dictate to me how I or anyone play's the game?
With the current method of skimmer farming, players have been able to allegedly make upward of 100 million credits per hour. I have included my EDSM public profile in my signature, everything is up to date, and everything is public. You can see for yourself how quickly I personally made credits with the current method, starting from yesterday to today. Physical well documented proof of credit progression. And it's not 100 million in 1 hour.

So I ask, how is this effecting you? Really, truly. Personally, I think players making millions more through the buying and selling of commodities are effecting the economy more than players earning credits through mercenary work. So, it's not making things more difficult for you to purchase.

Are players being able to buy bigger ships stunting your progression or ability to have fun at all? No, it isn't.

If you think it is then you probably should consider not being so worried about what the rest of the community is doing and play the game the way you want to play it, if it effects you so much to feel the need to complain about a mechanic that has just recently been fixed.

With regards to entertainment. I want to be able to play this game the way I want to be able to play it, as it currently stands. There's several people who seem to feel like they have the right to change the way I play this game and I find that objectively reprehensible. With regards to the correlation between fun & credits, credits are a requirement for everything in this game. For me to be able to enjoy this game the way I want to enjoy it, I have to earn it, and I have been earning it for the past 8 months I have put into this platform. all 758,959,857 credits I have spent upgrading my ships is earned, and I have enjoyed playing with my fully upgraded Corvette in HAZ RES Sites enforcing the law. I have to earn credits in order for me to get the most out of this game for my primary focus which is combat. Considering the last 7 months have been NOTHING BUT Exploration & Trade, which can be reflected upon in the fact that 13 systems have my name on them, my exploration rank is Elite, and my trade rank is Entrepreneur.

I don't want to do trading anymore, I don't want to do exploration anymore. I've had my fill of it, and the thing that bothers me the most is that Combat is so unrewarding as it is, that when a mission that is combat related actually pays something worth the time put into it, people demand that it be nerfed to oblivion.

So now, I want to hear it from everyone, from the pro nerf and the anti nerf.

Tell me why this needs a nerf, tell me why it shouldn't be nerfed.

P.S.
Don't tell me the payouts are too high, traders make more and if we're going to complain about this, then we better look at "balancing" trade.
