And it isn't even just a matter of contributors. They're getting WAY more on a per-capita basis. What the hell are we doing wrong?
I suspect the per ton per contributor is about the same when you look at actual contributors. Nearly half of SEPPs contributors merely signed up, they've yet to turn anything in (I vaulted to top 60% by turning in a single BP a bit ago). When I turned in the rest I was in the top 25%. So only 100 or so folks are actually actively hunting BPs.
So it's not a strategy or tactics problem, it's an organizational and motivational problem. Dumping 10T/hour is quite doable (may take 3 hours to find a T6/7 and snag 30T off of it). 400 people * 10 hours * 10T is 40K tons. Instead it's 100 people * 10 hours (total play time) * 10T/hour or 10K tons. Rough numbers but they're probably close.
So if you want to catch EG the solution isn't to find the mystery trick to increase the ton/hour rate, it's to motivate more people to actually get out there.
I suspect a lot of folks mistakenly assumed it requires a group and massive coordination. It's actually quite simple to do solo with semi-decent shields, some lasers, hatch breakers and collectors.
