Data Link Scanner not working (already tried things in old posts)

Hey there,

I'm pretty stuck here because I can't scan anything. Going in a Bounty Hunter mission, it says "Scan a NAV beacon to get info on targets location", I go there, I approach the Beacon (basically 5 metres from it), select it, hard deploy turrets, going into scan mode, going to a Fire Group I've made for scanning (d-scanner in secondary, data link primary), push my right trigger... and nothing happens. The reticle becomes blue, the scanner don't says anymore "OUT OF RANGE". The D-Scanner works fine on secondary. So I've tried to swap them, and it's the same: d-scanner works, data link don't work.

I've read about a guy that have removed his scan module messing around his ship, so I go to a Spaceport, checked if everything is fine, and EVERYTHING is there.

I don't know what to do. I like the game, started playing like a week ago, but basically I'm stuck on courier jobs only. I want to be a bounty hunter, and when pirates escapes, I can't track them as my scanner don't work. It's pretty frustrating. What can I do to fix this?

Hehehehe..I fell for this too. Your flying to a nav beacon. The actual beacon is WITHIN this signal your locked onto. Treat it like your flying towards a high grade emission. Once your in range it'll drop you out of warp and you can then see in normal space...the beacon just a few kms ahead of you...a small grey box on your radar. Lock onto it and it'll send the data automatically no scan required .

Nav Beacons - you just need to select & point at it. No trigger pushing required. Pic of you doing it pls. Normally it's people not actually selecting the beacon.
