Dear FD - ED we paid full price for this game

Clearly .. :D

.. if (you) don't like rep decay, stick to the bulletin boards .. could be the mantra?

edit:

I agree .. I don't like that the PP pages right now are mostly about explaining the rules, would much rather see a more character driven page. I think that will come though, it's a new feature and for me the way it's structured opens a deal of possibilities.

One thing that springs to mind is if all rep decays then bulletin boards wouldnt help as doing missions gets you the magical decaying rep. I proposed when PP was in beta to go to FFEs model and failed missions hurt your rep more than completed missions this gives an inventive. Unfortunately they chose decay over failure.

Yes i have holiday pay too but u dont get paid for taking longer than your allotment

Yes in the game were self employed self employed dont generally get holiday pay. So if you dont get how that relates to the fact that pp rank IS payment for your services........

Actually, this work we do in PP are more similar to community work or volunteer work for a political campaign.

You spend your free time working for said party helping them out a lot but if you are gone a month no-one trust you anymore.

Compare this to a politician taking a 1 month leave of absence and suddenly his party refuse to let him back on his old job because he did not work full time.

The problem is mainly too few ranks, short term rewards and no real reason to stay for the long run due to the grind and far too high monetary reward scale.

Just joining a faction is akin to a death sentence in other parts of the universe and they dont TRUST me. Im risking my bloody life trying to help them and if im sick for a month they spit on me.

I like how the only argument people defending PP have is that power play can be ignored.
Yep, first content update in 6 months, let's not play it.

I know we haven't seen eye to eye in the past, but I completely agree with your assessment, so much dev time and effort wasted on a feature that is by it's very core broken, this was even addressed on the beta forums. And I find it completely asinine that people's response is, "well you don't have to play it." which is a complete cop out, because it excuses anyone from actually having to come up with anything constructive to fix what is clearly a problem, and in fact live in denial that there even is a problem.

No let's not discuss the merits of any kind of reasonable discussion or how PP can be improved, fixed, etc, but simply take on the attitude of accept as-is or "git out". Because that is a much better way to conduct ourselves as opposed to....i don't know, actually contributing.
