Decent wide-screen monitor with G-sync

Maybe when attempting to troll, try and not hijack the topic to a completely different direction ? That was a really obvious..
Not trolling - I started the thread and also should I go with a G-sync monitor that has a IPS or VA screen. The samsung G7 everyone likes is a VA panel not an IPS. EDIT: I’ve just realised that you may have got confused as I changed my Forum name to my commander name

Going to big screen sizes like that, IPS is the way to go if you dont like obvious colour shifts just standing in front of the panel (very wide screens will have both sides at a significant angle from you). Like if you get triggered by colours being wrong, well IPS is kinda the only choice (and OLED of course but that's wayyy more expensive). Otherwise VA works for some people, but really try one before as not everyone likes the rendering.

Hmm - I do a lot of Art so i guess IPS then. Thanks for helping 😃

I had an Acer X34P Predator and it was one of the best monitor screens I have every owned. I replaced it with an Acer X38 Predator as I like 16:10 or 21:10 monitors better than 16:9/21:9 ones. Unfortunately the X38 is not a very good value for money proposition at all, there is an Samsung equivalent that uses the same panel I think.

Critical features for me are:
  • IPS,
  • Curved Screen,
  • 21:10,
  • 144 Hz refresh rate,
  • good/accurate Colour Gamut (calibrator required to set this properly),
  • Good response times (actual rather than claimed Grey to Grey)
