COMPLETED CG Defeat Pirates in Planetary Rings of Dhan (Bounty Hunting)

This would be my first combat cg. I had a long break - so i am quite new to game again.
Is this ground or/and ship ? If ship only - what kind of ship 50-80 mio creds) would be sufficent to take part ?
Any aprppriate guide for this ?
I think the new Cobra mk V is purchasable for credits now.
Give it a try, it's fun to fly. Wing up with other commanders, and watch for gankers :)

Also...engineering...this is pretty much mandatory nowadays. I hope you have some old engineered weapons/modules already, so prioritize ships that are compatible with these.

At that budget you're looking at a Vulture or Chieftain. Either one is fine, you would then choose your hunting grounds and targets as you wish. You may want to start in a High Resource Extraction Site, and graduate to a Hazardous when you want. Engineering is not mandatory for pirates, because again, you can choose your targets.

It is not.

In the game, if war, conflict zones, pose any sort of minimal danger, then war with pirates in the rings is completely safe. You have to try really hard to get killed.

And by the way, how to participate in the ground shooting of pirates that it brought points in the CG?

So, what do we reckon is going on with the whole "Gutamaya rep's observing how Corsairs perform in combat" thing?

Is it just fluff, is it going to be an excuse for the Corsair to get it's performance tweaked or is there something else going on?

Fluff...I hope...don't want to need a redo of my current build ;)

Also, from flying it and reading the posts on the dedicated thread to the Corsair, it is a fine ship the way it is, different from the others, and not really clearly outclassed by any of the usual ones that PvPeers are used to fly.

Can you make it better? Sure, but why?

Honestly, I was wondering if (next week, perhaps) there might be an announcement that anybody flying a Corsair in Dhan is going to get a 10% bonus or something.

Must admit, even if that does happen, I'm not going to be interested.
My Corsair is still sat in Jameson Memorial, unengineered, and even if it was completed it's not a dedicated combat ship so I'd still be flying around Dhan in my P2.

Field-testing a new ship would be a good pretext for a CG but I think FDev would need to leave it for a month or so, after the ship was released, to give people chance to figure out a suitable build for the CG and get it engineered.

Yes, I have ~80M in CG credit from Likedeeler of Michel.
My FC is parked about 2 Ls from Advanced Biochemical and has R/R/R.

Docked here not knowing that, lol. Thank you, CMDR! o7

I still don't get the KWS. I take one to a contested nav beacon, and it gives me the same info my ship scanner does. What am I missing? Will definitely be picking this one up though.

As a cmdr who owns the same KWS in the CG reward, I'll just let you all know in advance that it's super power hungry and not worth bringing along.
Fast charge and long range, if your ship can support it, then its awesome. If you only fly under powered ships then you might be of that opinion. For the rest of us who know a good deal and use PVE ships properly would beg to differ.

It's used in 2 situations.
1. Where there is no controlling power and it is the only way to gain bounties as it gives 2. Extra bounties it checks for bounties outside of the system you are fighting in. Mostly, if not exclusively used in PVE.
